Honestly Mega Slowbro is pretty balanced considering that its sp def is pretty mediocre.

Slowbro is a great mega, but falls victim to two things; not being good enough to take the mega slot from something better, and losing regenerator. Slowbro has just all the moves, you can build it however you want and be effective, but it needs reliable healing because of how slow it is, and when one taunt can put you on a timer it's just not what players want from their mega. Less versitile but stronger pokemon tended to get used because you always had three-five other pokemon to cover the weaknesses of the one mega you had.

Crearing the Shell Armor ability was a bad idea because it doesn't work properly, and besides it's same than the Battle Armor ability, which both have the effect of block critical hits, which are not common. These abilities should be eliminated someday, cause bad they are.
