Great message! A few weeks ago, I came across Jonah 3:10 and was amazed to see that works is linked with turning but repented is not. Jonah 3:10 10And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

Amen Brother Yankee. Jesus paid my sin debt in full so I can never be condemned again. John 3:18. But, God does chasten His children. John 1:12. But Thank God salvation is by grace. I could never live up to His perfect righteousness. Romans 4:4-8. But I have His perfect righteousness in me through the seal of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:13-14 and Ephesians 4:30.. I have been a child of God for 74 years. My sin debt was paid 2,000 years ago. All my sins are future sins. Paid in full. No longer condemned. John 3:18. I can not earn it, and I can not lose it. Gods word. John 6:47. The GIFT of God is eternal life, Because no one can pay their own debt. We have nothing to pay with. Jesus, said wait, I will take the punishment Jim deserves. Let him go free. He paid the debt and set me free. What a savior.

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The word "repent" is from the greek word "metanoia". It means change your mind. Change your mind about anything you were believing before to get saved and believe the Gospel. From unbelief to belief. The moment you trust Christ alone for your salvation, his death, burial, and resurrection, you are saved forever. The moment you become saved you are automatically baptized by the holy spirit. The word "baptize" means to immerse. The holy spirit immerses your body. So being baptized is the consequence of being saved. Nothing to do with water baptism. It's a spiritual baptism that happen the moment you believe.

The message for salvation Jesus preached was from Paul's gospel. Paul preached the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus for our sins and that we should trust in that 1 cor 15:1-3. When did you hear Jesus preach about faith in his death, burial and resurrection or faith in his blood for salvation while he still walked on earth?. Also, Jesus didnt go to paradise right after he died. When he appeared to the women he said, don't touch me for I haven't yet ascended to my father and I haven't been glorified, when Jesus told the believing thief that today I tell you you'll be with me in paradise means that that day Jesus promised him that and one day it will happen not right after his death, the thief had to sleep like Lazarus did and wait the resurrection and now even the rapture. Back then it was to believe jesus was the messiah to be saved now it's to trust his blood and work on the cross for our sins.

My question is if Paul preached the same message then why did Jesus give it to him alone - is it a different twist on the same gospel for the gentiles? Paul says my gospel and that Peter, etc didn't add anything.

Remember, Paul was not a disciple of Christ ,nor did he know the other disciples. Read Gal. 1:1-11 and you will see that there is only one gospel of salvation and Paul learned it straight from Christ. Same gospel, but that Paul went to the Gentiles and Peter went to the Jews as their main thrust but they witnessed to anyone. Yankee

@@YankeeArnoldMinistries I don't see how they are the same if Peter, etc were following the great commission and baptizing people in the name of the father, son and holy ghost. Did God change his mind on the great commission for Peter, etc when he restricted them to the circumcision? Paul said Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel. Mark 16:16 says that He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.

I'm not a dispesantionalist but when Jesus came on the seen he didnt preach the death burial and ressurection. he preached the kingdom of heaven which is the earthly kingdom.. things change, but I understand that the cross and ressurection was prophesied. either way I still love pastor Arnold. In the old testament peoples sins were remitted by the sacrifice of animals but those sins still had to be paid for for by Jesus christ on the cross. Hebrews 9 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. . 16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. note 17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of NO STRENGTH at all while the TESTATOR LIVETH. There is a division but also no one will be saved without the death burrial and ressurection of Jesus christ. the difference is how people appropriated salvation in the old testament compared on how we appropriate salvation in the new. this is a great study and a very interesting discussion as well. Paul calls it my gospel three times in his writings, check Roman's 16 25 for clarity. In like 9:6 the twelve were preaching THE GOSPEL but in Luke 18 they had no idea about his death, burial, and resurrection. How could that possibly be the same. Understanding right division only strengthens the blessedness of pure grace and eternal security. Theres a reason why the next book after Paul's writing is called HEBREWS, the next book after that is james....to the twelve tribes scattered abroad. Those books will fit after the rapture for the tribulation and that's why the warning is enduring to the end aka not taking the mark of the beast. Same Lord but two programs. Paul says today there is neither jew nor gentile. Why then a book called HEBREWS then t james and peter written to the twelve scattered tribes scattered. Love your messages but prayerfully consider pastor

I like the grace message you teach and preach, but here, I have to disagree with. Jesus message was the kingdom Gospel, Paul's Gospel was the Gospel of Grace, how are they the same message. They are not the same Gospel. Jesus didn't teach the death, burial and resurrection, Paul did. What is THE Gospel? 1corth 15:1-4 ) Jesus didn't teach that message, he taught the kingdom message which was for Israel not we gentiles. Sorry bud , your mistaken here . The cut off was when Stephen was stoned a year after Jesus died on the cross for God gave the Jews a 1 year period to repent and accept Jesus as the Messiah which they did not. the old message was not forgiveness of sin if you believe. It was Repent and be baptist and receive the Holly Spirit for the Kingdom is at hand. Jesus was going to start the Kingdom and it was postponed. The promise of the Kingdom will come after Jacob's troubles. Do you really read the same bible I do. Its the King James version. the gospel for the gentile was given to Paul from Jesus when Paul got saved and the gospel now in 1 Cor 15: 1-4 Read it because the gospel of the death burial and resurrection was not left out of the gospel in the dispensation of Grace and to prove there were 2 gospels read Acts 20: 24-25 and then try to dispute what Paul said when he also said he was the apostle to the Gentile and the other apostle went to the Jews only until Peter saw a vision from God. And you are a Dr. of what?

Galatians 2:7 7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;Do you preach the truth or preach the denomination that you was taught in your denominational school and now misleading the people? Its evidently you don't know anything about dispensations and how God deals with different people in those dispensations nor the little flock or prophecy about the promises given to Abraham about the kingdom..... nor Jacob's troubles.

@Amazing Grace the thief was saved under the prophecy kingdom gospel....not the body of Christ gospel that Paul preached. but the nation of Israel rejected Jesus as their messiah and were not saved.
