My fur baby didn't mind the fireworks last year, but he is 18 months old now and he does not like them. My town did their fireworks and they were about 2 miles from us, but he still ran around and was terrified. I had to put him on my lap and cover him with a blanket. I turned the tv up so loud the neighbors could hear it, and i held him till they were over. It is also illegal here in my state but someone started setting them off around 11 pm couple nights ago and woke him up. I had to work the next day but I had to stay up with him till they were done. So inconsiderate of others. Hope all had a great 4th of July despite the noise. God bless our Vets who sacrificed so much for our freedom.

Awwww... that was sweet of Glenn to eat the rest of the roast in tacos! So glad you finally got to eat your hoagie. Makes my mouth water to see it. I haven't had one in forever. I've been watching Christmas movies the past couple of days on You Tube. They just come on after a regular KZbin video I'm subscribed to so I watch them. There are so many good movies to watch. OH, yes! I LOVE Bramble House Christmas. I LOVED those banana taffy candies too. My favorite flavor, then the chocolate. YUMMY!

I just made that cucumber salad earlier today. I put onions in mine, along with some vegetable oil instead of water. We just happened to have a cucumber and I got a hankering for that salad. Lol

I have never heard of a hot logic. I have a similar dish but mine came with a heating pack for the microwave. Your hot logic is much better. I am going to have to check into that.

Hot Logics are wonderful to have, we have taken them camping. We have two small ones and 1 big one. You should get one, it will keep your food warm all day.

My cars and my 12 yr old kid were freaked out by fireworks. My son put his headphones on and watched boat racing with the volume full blast and the TV's on full blast. I had to hold my poor cat all night. We had a great day but once the fireworks started going off, that was it. I feel Soo bad for all our vets with PTSD, all of the animals that get frightened, and anyone who has a sensory issue like my son. The 4th is brutal on them. I'm glad Gypsy is okay

" Most Wonderful Time of the Year" is one of my favorites too Corinna. If you can ever find "Home by Christmas" with Linda Hamilton and Rob Stewart, I think you would love it if you haven't already seen it. I have to watch it multiple times every year because it's such a good story. Another one is "The Christmas List" with Mimi Rogers ( it's from the 90s), and that one is here on youtube for free. I'm gonna check out some of the ones you mentioned, I want a new movie list for this xmas season :) :)

I love "Most Wonderful Time Of The Year", I watch it several times during the season. I actually have the digital movie "Home By Christmas" I love that movie. My son in law loves cucumber/tomato/mozarella/cheddar cheese salad. Wash and slice cucumbers/add grape tomatoes/cube and 8oz block each of mozarella and cheddar cheeses,season with salt,pepper and garlic powder.Toss in ranch dressing and drizzle balsamic glaze across salad and mix. Makes about 8 servings
