I absolutely loved that feature in this video. When I was a PhD student I once grabbed a forgotten orchid from our office floor in the pantry and nursed it back to health. From that moment I became the person to babysit profs' plants when they went on sabbaticals. I however keep moving across continents, so I can never stay with my plants for long. My favorite plants are succulents (maybe because I have to travel a lot for work and they are so fierce on their own).

@@ezmereldagoradesky Thank you! It's wonderful that you have a heart for helping people. You may be able to overcome your aversion to blood but there are also many bloodless options in healthcare like physical, occupational, or speech therapy, clinical psychology, etc. I always thought medicine was for me and got as far as premed at UCLA but ended up very anxious, despite doing well academically. The only time I felt at ease was when I was helping classmates with our homework and they'd tell me I explained it in a way that finally made sense. So after much soul searching, I switched majors, got my master's and teaching credential and became a high school teacher. Not as "prestigious" as medicine, but over 150 teenagers came through my room each day and whether it was preparing them to smash an AP test, supporting English learners, or just providing a safe space for kids having a hard time, I knew I was touching kids' lives in a positive way. In this season of life I've chosen to step away from teaching to focus on family. I love being a human mom, dog mom, and a wife who can hold down the fort to support my husband's demanding career. I get to spend time volunteering in the community and devoting myself to the people I love most. Long story short, there are SO many ways to help people in each stage of life, so whether that is medicine for you or something entirely different, follow your passion and your strengths and you'll find your way.

On the off chance that someone from your team sees this - would you consider doing a video about the documentary "Knocking?" The documentary is actually about Jehovah's Witnesses, but one of the main plotlines is about a father donating a liver to his son. They talk about how it was hard to find a hospital to do it, and it was a very experimental procedure because Witnesses cannot accept blood transfusions. Also, there's a clip of the surgeon just walking through the hospital hallway with a human liver in what looks like a cereal bowl and I so badly need to know what's up with that.
