Good positive improvement in Manchester United game. They are playing technically well and ETH deserves the credit. Good possession based play. Trying to slow up and speed up, being patient in build up, midfield helping the defenders. Finding the net is still work in progress, which I feel will get there soon. Players seem to be aligned with ETH tactics. While most of team members are playing well, the weakest link is Bruno Fernandes. When team is playing well and in control, he should be the one who should be able to open up the opposition defense. He simply is clueless here. Keeps on giving ball away which is his trademark play. His negatives were not seen earlier as many players played bad in their individual capacity and not adaptive to ETH style of play. With players aligned to ETH style of play, now his weakness is coming out in open.

It's great to have videos like this with real substance rather than just negative, factually inaccurate rhetoric. Bravo.

AjAnalysis great analysis .... When it comes to bruno, he seems to thrive more on a transitional style of play than possessive play for it give him a platform to play risky passes and open various credible passing option. Another thing that he struggles the most with is Zirkzee movements. Its zirkzee who is supposed to dictate his movement according to Bruno and not the other way round. For Bruno has to be timid in his positioning to avoid colliding with Zirkzee. Bruno will thrive only if they play him together with mason mount upfront for the sake of having a strong pressing structure and also the chemistry the two of them built before.

What do you think a goalkeeper’s job should be? If a goalie relies on defenders / midfielders and a managers plans to be perfect and only save soft or half shots, you are probably following the wrong sport, perhaps gymnastics or golf might work for you. exactly Aj the biggest problem in last night's game was a lack of intensity from our players. they should be forced to run more in training as a punishment 😡
@ParulChandel-o8uАй бұрын
Couple of things here - 1. We are not clinical at all. We make great chances but are unable to finish our dinner. This leaves teams alive in the game - just like Twente in this case. Teams have come back against us time and time again as we don't kill the match. 2. I feel Maguire kind of slows down our build up play and forces long balls too much. Same goes for bruno - most of the times he makes bad passes and tries to force the hollywood pass. On the other hand, we have looked better when De Ligt plays. He is a much better passer of the ball and never slows down the tempo too much. We need patience in build up and need to be incisive and accurate with our attacks. 3. We make too many defensive errors. Especially the midfield due to our setup which isolates midfielders. It feels better now with the box midfield we have been playing with Dalot inverting in possession, but out of possession, we still play with the single pivot most of the time as mainoo and bruno both press very high. All in all I feel we still need quite some time to be a lethal team. The coach and the players both are to blame here, but I feel once it clicks - we have the potential to be the most lethal counterpressing team in the league. We already have - one of the best high turnover rate and the most big chances created as well as most expected xG. We just need to sort our the individual intensity, team tactics and teamwork.

this! i agree with u completely. rational and logical analysis n i dont think ur conclusion is very silly. i feel that our fanbase is one of the most emotionally reactive fanbases out there, but perhaps that's understandable considering how long we've been waiting for sorta a redemption era which we still haven't got. i figured smthn like this would happen after the transfer window. fans see decent names n expect us to be top of the board when the reality is we're still laying down the foundation. it's clear that there is a blueprint for our setup this season. that's as clear as day. we're just missing that piece where the players fall into their positions properly. that being said, results like these r difficult to accept because it feels like such a low hanging fruit. not trynna be disrespectful towards Twente, but that is a team that we must beat without question. unfortunately, as u said, this is a collective issue. our players r prly not playing the way Ten Hag wants them to play, however, Ten Hag's tactics might be too demanding for our players leaving a lot of bulletholes that other teams will take advantage of. what's certain to me is that we're still in the beginning phase. we need to find a slot where we experience that win streak through solid performances and tactics before we start moving on to the next phase. my concern is moreso what Ineos plan on doing next. i wouldnt be surprised if they chose to get rid of Ten Hag because they aren't convinced by what they see on paper. would it be the right time to get rid of him and implement a new coach? it's hard to say because the timing feels a bit awkward. however, im glad that ineos at the very least seem to have gathered a solid and competent team behind them to guide and make decisions on behalf of utd which means that if the decision is to sack Ten Hag then it was a collective choice made through thorough analysis.

@@someasiandude8645 Agreed. We have a very volatile fanbase, especially some of the youtubers. We were a great team once but there is no point in being nostalgic and comparing us at this time to the teams of the past. We are shit right now. We're barely mid table. Ten Hag doesn't help himself but the media and the fans need to get back off his back a little. It took fergie longer than this to get his team back to winning ways - and he didn't have to deal with the venomous media like ETH has to and these players have to. Our style of play seems much better this season. We are holding better possession, creating better chances and conceding lesser shots. We just need to SCORE MORE GOALS now.

100% underestimated. As a FCTwente fan, we all thought if we would lose 2-0 or 3-0 we would have done a good job. We played some bad matches the last couple of weeks. And some of us were afraid that we would go down with a big score (5-0 or more) agains MU. Our Squad played a reasonable first half. Players were nervous and had to work twice has hard for the ball than MU players. I could see players of MU were playing at 50% of their capabilities. The second half really surprised me. Twente was playing more freely and had the guts to make more attacks. There was more a 'we have nothing to lose here. lets go for it' mentalitity. And now i see MU pick up the game. They started the get a little nervous.. They got the realizeation of.. hmm we might lose some points here if we still keep playing like this, lets do a little bit more our best and then Twente scored. The pressure of MU was big but there was enough room to make some good sharp counter attacks, Unfortunately some our players played a bad game..There end passing was just bad. So we are happy we 1-1.

4 things: Bruno has to keep it simple... when you are in a new position, keep it simple... pass properly and press properly Secondly we need to swap full backs (mazraoui can play LB) or get shaw and malacia back; dalot operating from right would keep bruno in that left midfield role he is comfortable with. Thirdly we are a generally slow side... Twente looked faster and intense... I observed this also against Brighton and Liverpool... why are we so slow? The rule is be sharp to recover the ball then play at ur tempo.... Finally; Garnacho must always start b4 rashford; he is better at everything, at 1 nil, Garnacho direct run was so needed and defensive cover... we were lucky we had him at some point tracking back on one particular twente break

Simple football tactics, if u ar using a false 9, u need 2 natural wingers (Runners) so ETH should start both Rashford and Garnacho and drop Amad
@iphoneluvLOLzАй бұрын
The goal is comical when you see it back five player just taken out by a FC Twente player and he just jogged past them. Its like our players never heard of a tactical foul
@iphoneluvLOLzАй бұрын
Onana also poor positioning as well
@TomSmyth-j2kАй бұрын
We shouldn’t play a 9, we should play 3-2-3-2, with 2 number 10’s

Antony should change his position to fullback like valencia and ashley young he does well defensive contribution

if yoro returns, i'd rather have martinez play in midfield, and push mainoo up as a 10 or use zirkzee there.
@scottsinner7530Ай бұрын
He doesn't have the stamina to play in midfield, and he is far and away our best option at left sided CB.
@delmanpronto9374Ай бұрын
@@scottsinner7530 i'd go for any combination that gets bruno off the pitch tbh.
@NiceyAibАй бұрын
This was a easy game,Bruno needs to keep his #10 role so no 11 can play his false 9 abit behind Bruno or start mount instead of bruno

I am sure ten hag won't survive this season. Rud will be the interim manager.

Just Bruno,and don't play Maguire ever,he is too slow and panicking

The team is very imbalanced in terms of passing in attack is something I've noticed. Amad: 95% accuracy Zirkzee: 93% accuracy Rashford: 78% accuracy Eriksen: 93% accuracy Fernandes: 75% accuracy Off the bench: Mount: 100% accuracy Garnacho: 86% accuracy Mainoo: 86% accuracy We are notoriously bad at defending counter attacks, and if 2 of our attacking 5 are playing 1 of every 5 passes to the other team, we will continue to concede them.

They looked so lazy and complacent. Not organised in the final third like they dont know each other.

You're very good at this bro, but it's pretty simple. Our gaffer is underpants. No disrespect to him as an individual but he has no adaptability, no tactical versatility or nouce, no understanding of his players strengths or weaknesses. There will be zero progression as long as he is in charge, and it's becoming annoying now. He ended the game with Bruno Fernandes on the wing, while subbing Amad and Marcus off . Oh yeah he had 90m sitting on the bench in the form of Anthony who's desperate to find some form. There needs to be a change and fast.
@itzdead9764Ай бұрын
. Once again another silly goal to give away especually as ugarte won the ball back erikson too slow to move it on in dangerous area. Palace we couldnt finish a djnner and last night with maguire in the team we couldnt pass from the back properly. These draws ultimatly come down to poor performances from the players my only criticism of ten haag is not dropping bruno ( he needs a rest ) and making the wrong subs at the wrong time
@abdubinyaameen6188Ай бұрын
Its the formation 4231 is so rubbish and old fashioned. Top teams in europe play either 352 or 433.
@scottsinner7530Ай бұрын
Formation on paper has very little to do with how things progress during a match; what shape they take during different phases of the game is much more important.
