What Will I Catch In My New Kayak?

I took out my new Wilderness Systems Radar 115 with the helix pedal drive in search of whatever bites. I decided to go to a lake I hadn't been to all year, and figured I would fish with ultralights along with my medium light bass rod. I was pleasantly surprised when I found my second fish of the day - a nice donkey bass!

Great kickoff with the big momma causing drama in your new yak. Your enthusiasm is contagious my friend. I'm a big fan of the OG Rapala shad raps. Probably a couple dozen assorted sizes and the bass and especially river smallies and walleye kill them. Close 2nd is a Berkley Flickr shad but different wobble than the balsa raps. Nice enjoyable video Ethan. Really like the looks of your kayak too. I was fishing with a friend who caught a 16 inch walleye that spit out a 4 inch perch that wasn't nearly as decomposed. Just thought that walleye was really hungry 😄. Thanks for sharing my friend.

The "Fish Anything" lure was just too funny. ..Gotta watch those back casts. I hooked a rod and reel in a row boat once and lost it. Dove in after it but the water was dark, full of weeds and fairly deep. Never found it. Funny thing is I had stripped down to my underwear because I had to go to a meeting right afterwards. Good thing you didn't break the top off the Dobyn's. Speaking of Dobyn's. I got some $$ from a class action suit last week and "invested" in a new rod. It's an Olympic Trout Rod Bellezza UX GBELUS-622SUL-T (Spinning 2 Piece). I've had it out the last two days and I may have a new favorite rod! Next step is to try it with some Varivas 2.3 lb. "Ester" line. Blessings!

The design of the glasses is odd. Dont know how to install lenses without breaking the frame. Disappointing situation altogether but it is what it is.
