Making the point that Usman is now where GSP was having lost when he wasn't supposed to (presumably he means to Serra) is all well and good but Edwards fully earned his shot. Also, the idea that Usman will just 'put things right' and win easily next time is all well and good but he's had two full fights (almost) with Edwards now and the only danger Edwards has ever been in was on the scorecards. Not once was he really hurt or in any dangerous positions. Edwards had Usman defending a triangle for well over a minute in the first fight and was attacking a RNC for over a minute in this fight and then knocked him out cold.

Eddie Alvarez went to the body to great affect when he fought Gaethje, in hindsight it appeared to be a pivotal aspect of his game plan for fighting Gaethje, In saying that i could not understand why after such a successful first round the wind just seemed to leave Edwards sails. To me he had a chance in the second to put his stamp on the fight. At first i honestly thought he was playing rope a dope against the cage until he gave up the take down so easily and then he did the same thing over and over, but like they say the champions find a way to win and i hope this give Edwards the confidence he seemed to be lacking throughout that fight, his ability to reverse cage grappling and spring to his feet after take downs makes him a handful for the wrestlers of the division.

Leon was arguably 2-2 but at least 3-1 tho.
@redneckrambo96262 жыл бұрын
@@MM-zq9cj he unequivocally was not arguably 2-2 lmao. It was 3-1 and it was 3-1 objectively so. He was outstruck by 16 significant strikes in the 2nd round, outstruck only 10-7 in significant strikes in the third but Usman had 3:30 control time and a 38-7 total strikes disparity... with round 4 being the most lopsided in Usman's favor. No, it wasn't arguably 2-2... it was definitively 3-1 with absolutely no debate. Course none of that mattered because he got knocked tf out 🤣

that's what happen when u are being boring and constantly do the same thing every round.. this is mma, u need to use every tool u have or your opponent gonna take advantage of u

If Diaz didn't give Edwards his last test before the final boss that was Usman, this outcome doesn't happen.

the crazy thing is i wont be shocked if this happens with Alex vs Izzy either. Buster Douglas Vs Tyson was one of the most shocking fights i remember.

Alex already has a knock out win over Izzy so why would it be a surprise casual?
