Okay this is it. I already loved discuss who is Clint's taegu. Now that I've seen their babies I've got to have one. I am 62 years old lifespan of bees from what I've heard is 20-30 maybe more? So to have one of these I'd probably have to have someone to leave it in my will to. This is going to take a lot of thought. This is without question the cutest animal I've ever seen in my life aside from Gus Gus. You people are so lucky being able to work at a place like this I just can't even imagine how cool it would be to work there. Yes there's Troy's yes there's poop yes there's cleaning all of that I would be happy to do that just to be around that energy that you guys have in these amazing creatures that just make me smile

My B&W baby ate/eats strawberries, grapes, scrambled egg, piece of hard-boiled egg, earthworms, garden snails, garden grubs, raw salmon, raw catfish, blueberries, peach, banana, chicken liver, super worms, horn worms, crickets, mango, pineapple, orange, cherries, mandarin oranges and I'm sure other but I forget plus dust with reptile vitamins/D3 suppliment every few days. Mine won't touch anything leafy green whatsoever. Also, need to be alert/aware on how big the pieces of food are that are being offered to them depending on their size and the hardness/sustenance of the food. I don't think it's wise to make them struggle to get the food item down.

I feel like I am the only person in the world who loves reptiles and doesn't have tattoos. As for the Tegus, if they are distracted, it is difficult to get them to eat. Mine will not eat outside in the yard, there is too much "going on" wind blowing, strange smells, birds, cars driving by. As soon as I take him inside he will wolf down the same meal he didn't want 1 minute before outside. Also with food, I find at first they will eat everything but then they get picky. A year ago, my Tegu would eat anything, now he won't eat even eggs, all he wants is meat. He will even chew out the meat and spit out the fruit and veggies if I make him meat balls. I literally have to grind veggies into powder and put it in meat to get him to eat it.

my new baby tegu not having none of that , no eggs , no collard greens , ate horned worms once just crickets / a little beef / chicken I will try some blueberries and turkey but I know turkey makes their poop wet but still will make a mix with veggies for his health :)

I know you guys and girls know baby tegus prefer a meat diet, they will consume the other stuff like fruits and veggies once they are about 2-3 years old. I’ve done this too just to see what they might try
