The future of the economy is often one of the most pressing issues for voters. With the 2024 presidential election just around the corner, it is important to parse the differences in economic policy between the two major presidential candidates. What will the economy look like under a Harris or Trump administration? What policy stances have the two candidates taken? Are the differences significant? Or are the two candidates actually more similar in economic policy than the rhetoric might suggest? The panel investigates these questions by tackling both Harris and Trump's positions on taxes, trade, immigration, and industrial policy.
This session was hosted as part of AEI’s 2024 Fall Summit, an annual gathering of the institute’s Collegiate Network.
