He made significant strides at tackle and played fairly well. He still needs some help with speed rushers but who doesn't. And he's the best run blocker on the team. Moving him to guard would create it's own problems because he has a high center of gravity, pad level could be a constant problem with him at guard. The move would also be a huge blow to his confidence, which can't be very high right now. I'd keep him at tackle but cross train him at guard. Instead of crushing his ego you can sell it as the team having confidence in his ability and they want to capitalize on his versatility.

Watching the Commanders win on the weekend I thought the Giants are so screwed. Next year those two teams are at or near the top in the NFC and almost 25% of our schedule is against them. And you know Dallas with Dak back will be better. The Giants will likely be picking at or near the top of the draft for 2 or 3 more years. That said we just need to go BPA to build our roster this year.. The only QB I take in the top three is Cam Ward. Take Hunter and if Hunter and Ward are gone trade down to 6 with Las Vegas and so they get Sanders and we get much needed draft capital. Get a FA QB and pair them with a QB drafted in round 2 or 3 (Milroe, Dart, McCord, etc). Next year we will have another swing at a QB given our brutal schedule and bad record again. Move Neal to guard , Runyan at the other guard with Thomas and Eluemenor at the tackles.

Neal was a good run blocker but a horrible pass blocker and as a guard he will be better bc he doesn’t have to move as much and worry about pass rushers beating him with speed and double moves.

I was all about booting HC & GM, but again Alex makes a valid point. Let them go against this upcoming brutal schedule. I don't feel like it's me saying they are "giving up on him," I see it as pure hubris on the staff's part. It's not that he didn't work out, I think they see it as Daball, Schoen admitting they were wrong. They would rather fail him in hopes of saying "see, see, we know what we are doing," rather than saying "well we were wrong, so we should listen to other ideas." Another example, Tyler Smith of the Cowboys who drafted to be a tackle and it didn't work out. So they said OK, moved him to guard and it's working so well he's made 2 pro-bowls and 2nd team all pro. And that's a team run by Jerry F'N Jones. How far up your own A do you have to be when Jerry Jones' team is less stubborn and willing to make changes over you? It's sheer hubris, that's what I think it is.

The problem with trading Even Neal is Joe Schoen! I believe Joe Schoen will never trade him because Joe Schoen would have to face the fact that Even Neal was a total bust, as long as Neal is on the team he can try to hide him and use the excise his getting better and say he just need the right amount of coaching. No amount of coaching will bring him up to being a good NFL O- lineman his feet are to slow, His feet look like they are stuck in the mud, and he is top heavy his not athletic, his big and strong but not a good footballer and never will be!

All Daniel Jones fault like most media and fans blamed him for the loses. DJ leaves and Giants finish 1-6. Jones took a beating from Neals missed blocks. Gettleman and Schoen both have failed to build a quality OL that can provide protection. Some is to blame on constant injuries. Thomas goes down and the entire line fails apart. If they spent more time building an OL, getting receivers that do not drop passes--- then the Giants would not have to keep searching for a QB. Look at the huge holes Barkley now has to run through.
