Russia looks like it is preparing for military action against Ukraine.
100,000 soldiers have amassed along the border, supported by Russian armour and artillery that could move quickly if necessary.
This is what it war could look like - on the frontline, for Ukraine, and for everyone else who would get involved as well.

I hope that the politicians will solve this crisis in a mature way. Taking into account the different interests and views. Nobody wants a war. It is the common citizen who suffers the most during military conflicts. We really should avoid this. And there are already plenty of other issues that politicians should focus on.

Mate, Russia is breaching the integrity of Ukraine as a sovereign nation, and has been doing so for years now. This isn't about a balance of interests. One is a giant nuclear capable state acting outside the international order and the other is a vulnerable nation defending its fate. Let's not pretend as though Russia has any standing in this dispute

Nothing will happen. NATO and US sending troops because in fear or Russians invading Ukraine, and Russia is sending troops to defend their border because they don't like having NATO and the US so close to them. Even if Russia would have interests in invading Ukraine, they won't do anything when NATO and the US is involved as much as it is now. It's a stand off that will lead to some tension for some years. The Cold War never really stopped. US/NATO won't attack. Russia wont attack.

Also only one Barack roof has no snow on is as it is -22 C. that means all the other buildings are empty. The Bear is sitting in front of the heater in the basement, its is dark and warm. My old Barack's in the Netherlands was near the beach, so we had a fox that wood show up and the meat crap the cook and supply master wood leave. In return, the fox wood get rid of the cat that wood sleep and piss in are trucks. If your barracks is more in inland Europe there will be an owl and a falcon, get in to east Germany and Poland wolf will show up at your Barack's door mid-winter. And in the former CCCP yes a bear will want to sleep over for winter. PS. The bear also get vodka and sigerats if he/she smoks and drink. But he will have to do some work or armwressel the troops. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zp3YZaWNZd2UkLM

The key is there is no reason for Russia to capture Ukraine. If it does (which is higly unlikelly) it will be very heavy load on Russia's economy. Even if aquired at zero cost. The only relevant idea is to avoid US nuclear rockets there, but if we count distance to Moscow, Ukraine border is just only about 150 km closer than Latvia (454 km instead of 598 km). In flight time terms that is about 2 extra minues, or even less than 1 minute with hypersonic speed. And Latvia is already a NATO member for a while. And finally, if Russia annex Ukraine it will actually move NATO border closer, as from that poin Russia will have to defend ex-Ukraine territory the same way as its own. It is easy to see, that it is much better for Russia to have weak, disorganised and corrupted Ukraine, whuch is a bigger problem for allies, that for enemies - just as it is now.

@@athny4200 Chechnya and Belarus has very few in common actually. First is integral part of Russia, and allways was. Second is an independent state since 1991, with its own agenda, usually quite different from Russian. But anyway, if Putin wants new USSR he may well start whith Belarus, which is quite ready to integrate, but even there progress is very slow. Than continue with Kazakhstan, which unlike Ukraine, has a lot of natural resources. And than... may be... take a second look at Ukraine.

@@mikhailpankratov8532 the only reason why Belarusian president is still in office is because of Russian support propping him up in power. Chechnya is similar in that stance that they somewhat have internal ability to do what they want, so long as they go along with the olligarchy's agenda. They murdered, beat and imprisoned hundreds of LGBT people under Russia's oversight. These 2 are alike in that sense, there is a man of power in Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov who is Chechnya's President. On the contrary. The only way to avoid the war is for NATO to go in en force. By now NATO has given green light to destroy Ukraine

I got notification on my phone that a Ukranian rifleman shot and killed 5 Ukranian guards. At first I was like "oh shi it's all kicking off!!!", but it's pretty unrelated.

He wont, because if Russia was to nuke the USA for example, the USA would most likely send some back, as well as the USA allies. But nuclear warfare is a whole other level

Most Americans aren't paying much attention to the Ukraine. Trust me. For my part, NATO has outlived its usefulness years ago, with the fall of the USSR in 1991. And European nations haven't invested in their military due diligence , ever since. They have taken advantage of America s contribution. I say enough of NATO. I think many Americans are swinging my way.

The reason America spends so much on defence isn't to make any contribution to anything other than the enrichment of their own military establishment.
