I love how the T-800 interacts with Reika with his creepy smile, it shows despite how human they look with their skin disguise the T-800 still has problems or at least takes longer to learn to act more like an actual human. A good nod to uncle bob’s first attempt to learn to smile in T2

I’m not big into anime, but huge fan of the first two Terminator films and even some of the others. I watched Zero and really liked it. It wasn’t perfect, but the story was interesting.

Idk if this was intentional but I thought that the T-800 we see in Zero looked a lot like the original concept art for Lance Henriksen to be the Terminator.

Actually, when Tim crashed through the car windshield and grabbed Malcolm at 5:10, that's a reference to when the T-800 punched through the car windshield and grabbed Sarah Connor on Terminator 1.

What the animators missed is that the Terminators weigh around 400 lbs. How was she able to hold onto a rope with that thing dangling from her ankle, or push it into an elevator shaft!? Like there were so many times when I just threw my hands up in anger at the slippy writing. Rant over

Yeah that was my problem is some of the animation felt a little off. But I personally thought outside of that, still a solid watch and better than anything that came after Terminator 2.

I'm not really sure I agree with you. 400 pounds is like the weight of an obese person. So the terminator is pretty heavy, but not heavy to the point where it can't jump or hang onto things.

It's simple that terminator not priority to kill eiko and his family only to kill Malcolm and shutdown kokoro it's mean he being program by kenta in the future that's why he not all in to eiko but if realize when he crush eiko hand and punch her she dont have chance..but its anime plot armour but all movie have this plot armour just don't move fast and so light weight..

Zero rocks man it felt like Terminator again! Wanted to give a few shots here Mizaki first appearance was in the street at the show on a crosswalk. Personally I connected Ex Machina’s cyborg desiring to one day go in a date and people watch by going into a busy crosswalk. Additionally on Terminator Sarah Connor chronicles, the T-1000 now disguised as a business woman has a strange fascination to people watch, states that it loves watching the crosswalk how orderly people can be following the lights. Speaking of, the way the T-800 scanned Mizaki and determined it’s an unknown cyborg mission abort high risk, is the same way a T-800 scanned Cameron on the T-SCC show during an early fight, it said unknown cyborg abort mission evade.

You also forgot to mention that Malcom getting shot by the nail is taken from Dyson getting shot in the torso. And both had last minute moments to have a positive last moment on humanity. Dyson with destroying the building and Malcom as convincing his ai to help humanity.

I've seen so many people were just bashing the crap out of the show. I thought it was great. I like how they made the Terminator terrifyingly smart and just terrifying on his own. I think it's funny that skynet must have some really low security for so many people to have used it along with the terminators. The time machine.

The most glaring issue is the T-800 getting dusted in h2h repeatedly by a regular human. I'm fully convinced that in this timeline the T-800s are far, far weaker than in any previous entry.

What I missed in Terminator Zero was consistency from scene to scene. And also better writing so the series wouldn't scream of developing the story from the conclusion backwards in order to have everything happen as the conclusion needs it, even if it doesn't make any sense.

I really enjoyed the series and i personally rated it 7/10 where judgement day is 10/10z. My issues i had were with pacing. I felt that the kokoro scenes were way too drawn out with repetitive dialogue. Also, i was very disappointed with the design of the new terminator. He didn’t look imposing at all and didn’t display any cool abilities except for the cringe crossbow. The fight scenes were also slightly underwhelming. However, as a whole it was still a solid entry and definitely recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the series.

13:01 weird huh, John sent Kyle and The T-800 or 850 or whichever to protect his younger self. But only after skynet made the time machine he could send Kyle, then they won the war, right? then there should not be any need for another terminator to be sent by skynet or by John, unless they did not win. Skynet was functional elsewhere along with Time machine , sending Terminator 1000 back to T2 past, and hence john sending one to protect self

Not related to the anime, but the Terminators in T2 are named Bob and Austin. The T-1000's nametag on the cop uniform he assimilates reads Austin, and of course John and Enrique refer to the T-800 as Uncle Bob.

Yep, I refer to the T-800 from T2 as "Uncle Bob" typically. "Uncle Bob" is also the name of another T-800 in the comic "Terminator: Infinity."

I’m a bit disappointed that it revealed that Misaki just another remodeled of T-800 . I kinda expected she being newer model that prioritized mobility over strength or something like that since her body pretty weak(her arm got easily tearing down) and her fighting style is very fast instead of typical sluggish robotic move like T-800. But maybe she just move like that because this anime made by same team as Ghost In The Shell.
