thank you so much for sharing this..I have been searching for a good air dry paint tutorial, but so many of them skip the part where they tell you about how to seal your paints after or about how to get the paints to adhere to the vinyl. I am a former Genesis Heat set paints artist, but it is just not practical for me because of the fumes, and the constant baking outside on the porch. It gets much too cold where I live, and it can damage the nuwave oven if you use it in cold temperatures..It can crack the lid and such. So i have really been wanting to switch to air dry, so then i can even paint in my dorm when i go off to college. So you can pretty much use any acryllic paints as long as you put that glass & tile medium with it?? because some people make it sound like you have to buy the acrylic paints from the reborn sites like Bountiful Baby or Macphearsons..but is that not necessary? also, where did you get the soft touch americana varnish stuff? is that just from a crafting store or do you have to order that online?
@tinytoesrebornnursery2 жыл бұрын
I ordered my America on line and the air dry you can get from reborn sites are good higher quality. I have run in not goring able to find the glassntile medium so I found on macphersons a replacement for it it’s the emolsion and primer 2 separate bottles a little pricey but it works. I haven’t had an issue with any of my paintings. A lot of people have said that don’t use apple barrel or folk art but I haven’t had a problem as long as you seal(varnish) really well you should not have an issue

@@tinytoesrebornnursery okay thank you for your reply!! I was also wondering if there are any substitutes I could get for that glass and tile medium? I seen there was like a deco art paint adhesion medium.. could that work?

Hi. Would you recommend a certain length of drying time, and would it be best to allow it for every layer?
@tinytoesrebornnursery2 жыл бұрын
it depends on the size of the baby the smaller ones and the bigger ones usally by the time you finish you can go back and start a new layer. i usally start with the head and by the time you get done with the limbs you can start with the next. most people wait a little bit.

Hi tinytoes, I liked your video/ tutorial., I have , probably a silly question, have you done heatset paints? when starting out,, I'm looking for vids in your channel, regards heatset, I'm slow at viewing vids lol, being I try to watch from beginning to end. I'm going to be starting out as a new reborner. I've been setting up a starting kit, I also bought starter beginner setup that has the reborn in with it, at another site I bought body parts from,. and now from another site I'm waiting for a new upcoming baby she's on the way as we speak , I found one lady on KZbin I seem to draw to for ReBorning. I plan on starting out with heatset paints. I agree with notes. I have from the hunnybuns site an Ebook I've been reading, it all takes time. I've waited almost 3yrs to get this far lol, I was saving money, still am lol. I pray I can feel comfy to get the hang of it soon I hope before end of year!. Thank you for sharing. Have a good day. Sincerely, Colleen. I too like taking notes. Good idea! Ty!!
