I never used any of the fancy off-road modes in my older TRD despite living in Idaho backcountry for a year, so I went 4x4 SR5 this time. WD hitches don't just redistribute the weight on the front axle. They put immense torque on your trailer too. When they are linked, the entire system (truck and trailer) experiences all the torque equally. That A frame on your trailer is a common failure point with WD hitches. So when you use the WD hitch, just be mindful that you are lifting up on your trailer as much as you are lifting the rear of the truck.
@jmpattillo5 ай бұрын
The owners manual says to use the manual trailer brake control slider to set the gain. You are supposed to squeeze it and set the gain to just below what would cause the trailer wheels to lock up when you’re moving forward at a reasonable speed. It seems a little confusing because I sure would not want to test it to the point with a trailers wheels locked up.

FFWD 5 years!!…2022 Tundra comes out. Again…it just didn’t feel right…something was off and I couldn’t make the switch. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise!
