I graduate high school this spring, and going to Elaine sterling is one of my top picks.. I want open up my own meds pa and be able to do injections and Botox later in life. Do you recommend me becoming an esthetician before going back to school and becoming a cosmetic nurse? Or should I just go ahead and go to college for becoming a cosmetic nurse?

When it comes to that it’s based on if you’re willing to pay out of pocket for esthetician school. You’re going to need both. ESI doesn’t teach injections of course but you will learn about different skin machines and techniques that only esthetician know. Personally I would go to ESI first it’s only 10 months then college.

Go to esthetician school first to get that knowledge. A lot of what you’ll learn in esthetician school you’ll need for nursing. Also you’ll also have a great career to use while pursuing your career in cosmetic nursing. You’ll be happy you started this way congratulations and blessings on your journey.

I graduated nursing school last May & im starting esthetician school next week with the same goals as you! I love the cosmetic nursing field as well as esthetics and I look forward to merging the two as a career. I think doing nursing school first was the best decision for me because it’s my safety net. You’ll never be out if a job. And I was able to save up to pay for esthetician school. Working part time as a nurse and going to esti school will always be an option too! Still up to you but I would get the hard part out of the way first! Plus from what I heard most med spas require hospital experience before allowing you to inject. It’s definitely a process! But don’t give up!

At my school (The Elaine Sterling Institute) not at all , not even clear polish. I think all of them are like that. The girls at my school are very nice but it can become very catty between some students.

Heyy! I plan on starting at Elaine Sterling soon for the hybrid program. For the live online course is it a specific time all the time? What do the days and times look like? I’m trying to plan out my work schedule

Good choice ! Yes you will have a set schedule for your online lectures . The hybrid class is set online for 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday- Thursday and on campus Saturday from 8:30-4:30 then somewhere around your 12th week you’ll be on campus 3 days a week.
