I am also seen by a lot of other people as scary and unapproachable and I can often get easily enraged when I'm frustrated. I used chun- li because during the time sf2 champion ed (the hacked version) was released everyone was using guile because of his ability to do back breakers as he is nowhere to be seen on the screen. Ryu and ken just throw hadokens as twin fireballs to keep opponents at bay. Seldom I see chunli from being played so curious I was, I thought of givibg it a try and man, she didnt disappoint.

Ostensibly an accelerated version of Ryu that became all-consumed with Power. Like he really doesn't have anything unique about him that hasn't already been said about Ryu or Bison. It'd just be kinda redundant, really. I agree with gronnwolf though, Cammy showed up in Super Street Fighter 2 along with T-Hawk and Fei Long, so it's kind of a burn they weren't included here.

My main has been Guile since SFII on the SNES. To me you have to be calculating with him more than with most other fighters. All his moves are based on a 2 second charge which means you cant just spam his moves like some fighters. Every thing has to be timed just right to land a boom or a flash kick. Because of this it allows me to analyse my opponent more to see their play style. I've always considered him a turtle since you will be defensive while charging his moves and waiting for the right time to counter/attack. Don't get me wrong, you can go on the offense quite easily, but I prefer the other approach with a little aggression to throw my opponent off. He also, in my opinion, has the best strong sweep in the game that usually catches people off. I guess he is my favorite cause he allows me to be more of a defensive/counter punish type fighter.

I feel like Ken didn't get enough credit as a fighter. Yeah he's got the shoryuken. And he's also got other techniques. In street fighter V his ultra combo is related to his kicks and not his hands. And yeah. Spamming a flaming fist is great. But i find myself using his kicks as well a lot since they vary differently than ryu's.

I am a Ryu main. I've been a Ryu main ever since I played my first Street Fighter game on the PSP: Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max. Out of all the characters I played as, Ryu is the one I am best at. Perks of being a Ryu main is also being able to use other characters who share movesets with Ryu really well such as Akuma and Ken, because they share a lot of movesets with Ryu.

There is stuff that's good about this video. Analyzing the playstyle and motivations of a character can tell some things about your own personality. If you play a rushdown character you might be impatient and try to get the match other before your opponent can realise what is happening. If you play a zoner you might be a calculating and slow thinking person yourself, adjusting your playstyle if needed. If you play someone with strong motivations such as Ryu you might relate to his journey or you have just started up the game and picked the guy on the cover. The problem with this video is some things I have seen in some other "who are you" or "What does Y tell about you" videos. There is some stuff that is pretty specific to a character, which makes it hard to see someone relate to it. The video really doesn't feel like it's trying to analyze anyone but the character itself. Then there is the fact that some statements are just plain wrong. Ryu mains are rarely the ones playing from the very beginning. A lot them are new players, which is fine, since Ryu is mostly recommended to beginners. This makes the statements about people needing to pick their main just because you picked Ryu also questionable, except for high level play maybe, because Ryu can be a very versatile character (but at high level play you should play with one of your mains anyway). My problems don't just apply to this video but also other Frederator videos I've seen with similar structure. I hope this will be better someday, because it looks like you didn't really try, which is sad considering the potential of a video like this :(

Akuma players understand that with a great buff comes a greater debuff. They are not ones to fight for long periods of time and try to overwhelm the opponent with a swarm of strikes. They abuse openings and punish greatly. They have morals so they tend to play with their foes before going all out and completely succumbing to the Satsui no Hado. ...... Well, my main is the random select. By the time of this writing, SFV has 30 characters. So, why would I want to stick with just one character when I have so many at my disposition? I play mostly for fun, and victories come by themselves. Whether it's a serious match, or a friendly match, I think one can give his/her best with any character if they know how to play well.. Changing characters helps a lot, brings variety to the strategy and prevents someone from becoming too predictable... well, that's just my opinion.
