Fun fact: She went to a Japanese school and is surrounded by Japanese people. So she has absolutely no reason (or desire) to speak Mandarin or Cantonese. Feng doesn't speak much, but he does speak Mandarin occasionally. It's not an oversight or anything, seeing as every other character speaks their native language. Xiaoyu speaking Japanese is a key part of her storyline.

My actual dumb reasons for my mains: Hwoarng- You saw his model in the arcade for Tekken 5 and thought his spiky hair and goggles made him look like a Digimon protagonist, and spammed his machine gun kicks to get to the final boss with 0 skill. Lili- You saw that her fighting style is "street fighting" and thought you'd be unique by using a character without a traditional martial arts moveset, only to find out all her moves were taken from gymnastics, but got too invested in her combos to change to someone else. Claudio- You waited 9 games (counting tag and tag 2) for us to get a freakin' Italian, and when we finally get one, he has the power of God and anime on his side, and just so happens to have an outfit that slightly resembles that oc you made back in high school.

Asuka fans are still playing Tekken Tag 2 and Tekken 7 and I Swear to GOD 80-90% of them does the counter stance (that parrys mid-highs) at some point after a string when they are minus, and then they keep doing it if they get hit out of it with a knee or elbow that has a follow up hit.
