James Marsters is an absolute legend. For all of the massive shortcomings Evolution had, Marsters's acting was pretty good. Fun Fact: Marsters is the reason for Piccolo being green in the movie. Originally, Piccolo was meant to be a different color (gray I believe), but Marsters refused to dress up and act as Piccolo unless he was green. I'm so glad he got his redemption with Zamasu. He absolutely kills it in the role.

Gotta say his casting as King Piccolo certainly wasn't the issue as he was simply an actor who got stuck with a bad script (written without Toriyama's input and the writer of DBE himself was apparently unfamiliar with the series)! The same goes for Ernie Hudson's (the guy who played Winston Zeedmore in The Ghostbusters film franchise) casting as the Master Muitaito stand-in Shifu Norris as he's a great actor and I wouldn't mind him being cast as Muitaito (after all the Evil Containment Wave is like a Ghostbuster proton stream and ghost trap, so as both a Ghostbuster & DB fan its a match made in heaven as far as I'm concerned, it just sucks he like the other actors got stuck with a bad script that fails to understand Goku is a Saiyan & Oozaru is just a transformation! Also the film missed a golden opportunity to have Giant Oozaru Goku fight Great Namek King Piccolo, a Kaiju style battle that DB fans have never really gotten outside video games & more recently Cell Max VS Giant Orange Piccolo! I mean I'm not against a live action film doing something new as long as they stay true to the spirit of the original source material and the mystery surrounding Goku's Kaiju sized Oozaru form could have led into the plot of the Saiyan Saga)! Still DBE did tick off Toriyama to the point he came back to the franchise with DBZ Battle of Gods, Dragon Ball Minus manga (which retconned Bardock, how Kakarot was sent to Earth, & introduced Gine with parts od it being adapted to DBS Broly later on), & , Jaco the Galactic Patrolman manga (which acts as a loose prequel to DB), DBZ Resurrection F (film and its manga adaptation by Toriyama & Toyotarou which acted as a prototype for the DBS manga which is why it skipped the Golden Frieza Saga as the film had already been adapted in manga form under the DBZ banner), Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball Daima before his passing early this year! It's somewhat fitting & poetic DBE ticked off Toriyama that he made Battle of Gods as revenge (basically him showing the writers of DBE how to write a good DB film) which lead to DBS anime which gave James the opportunity to be the English Dub voice actor for Zamasu, Future Zamasu, Fused Zamasu, & Infinite Zamasu!
