"If you want to make everyone happy, don't be a leader, sell ice cream." - Someone. She's literally, selfishly triggered by critics, while blindly ignoring the 99% of the majority of the viewers that actually liked the video. Focusing on such a small percentage that disliked you or your content, which is inevitable-it'll happen nonetheless since you put yourself out there... focusing on them is actually a selfish act. Because it bothers "you". What about all the people that like the content and are subscribed? where's the video of being grateful and thankful about even having a career thanks to those who actually enjoy your content? Jesus Christ, some people are so self-centered. Plus, most critics hide behind the screen with surnames and anything but their real pictures, kinda like my account! But those people are background keyboard warriors that have nothing else to do but criticize.
@trianna2008
@trianna2008 2 жыл бұрын
What's worse is that the "haters" she chooses to call out have reasonable and justifiable criticisms. But she didn't choose to make this video about ignoring the troll comments and delving deep into constructive criticism. Instead, she seems to feel that anyone who doesn't blindly love all of your content is simply ill intentioned. What a shallow and childish way of looking at things. Even if you sold ice cream, if there were people saying "your ice cream is too sweet", rather than ignoring them or calling them haters, any reasonable business person would add in another, less sweet flavor so they can cater to more market demand.
@BIGGELATO
@BIGGELATO 2 жыл бұрын
@@trianna2008 that's right, it's adapting to your audience and expanding while at it. it can be a very strategic and useful way to grow your business if the criticism is use properly, to grow, not to create sad sack, buthurt content. if the criticism is used as content instead of adapting by seeing what's wrong, and what needs to change to make critics and fans like her, it will trigger a vicious downward spiral, its self-sabotage, it leading with emotion, cant do that in business, thats why all the shark call it cut throat world of business, even we know that!

THIIIIIIIIIIIS is yet ANOTHER reason why art classes are so important to development. You get to learn what a critique is. You learn to put yourself out there to be critiqued. You learn to understand the difference between Critique, Criticism, Comment, Hating, and everything else in between. People learn to deal with receiving critiques. You learn how to GIVE a critique. You get to look inside yourself and become more self aware. But no no no no, STEM is all that matters, just ask people.
@Phil-fy2rl

I will say that I do have some classes in science. I have to write short lab reports. I often receive comments on my work, showing how to improve or at least some confusion with what was presented. So it’s not always too bad all around.

@ItsAGoodStoryThough588
@ItsAGoodStoryThough588 Жыл бұрын
Most people don't learn about criticism from art because everyone knows art is subjective and the beauty is in the eye of the beholder, therefore all criticism is swept under the rug as they are just a hater. STEM can only be represented by facts. And therefore if you're wrong, you're wrong. You need to accept it and learn from mistakes.
@NickCageDrippp
@NickCageDrippp Жыл бұрын
I agree that people should take art but the same thing happens in english
@terrakage4462
@terrakage4462 Жыл бұрын
Late on this but no. Many stem fields will still give critique, even while in college you will receive criticisms on your work unless you did everything perfectly. This happens a ton in computer science. Because while you may have CAME to a solution that solves the problem, that solution may not be efficient or makes a program run much slower. For example, many developers (usually new ones) gets criticism for the lack of structure of their code or making the code work by only using if statements (such as if this is true then do this). It’s not good design practice and leads to spaghetti code, making it far harder for the next person to work on the code since it’s to jumó led up to clearly understand. And while I agree that more people should give art a chance, even as a game developer who wants to make art for my games. It’s just not my thing. I don’t have the devotion and patience for it. STEM is still very important in general as, unfortunately, without STEM, a lot of the important functions that keeps our society running falls apart.

I think that when a comment "stings" it's hard to pause and think about why it stings. You just think... ouch... that hurts... that person hurt me... that person is wrong. It takes a mature and confident person to take a step back and consider the meaning behind the words. You have to consciously take the time to sit in the comment and take it in, which can be painful in itself, before you are even able to internalize anything. It's much much MUCH easier to dismiss someone as a hater. And I would be an apple tree. Apples are freaking amazing.

If you bake a cake and burn it, people will tell you it's crap, they aren't saying "YOU are crap", they are saying the CAKE is crap. I don't know where exactly this transitioned in people to take things so personally, but i believe it's really only surfaced in the last 25/30 yrs in society. There has always been the odd person who thought like this, but in the last 25 yrs it has become so popular that it is the new normal way people think. It's like every good comment gets swept away by ONE negative comment. Maybe since we started giving out "participation trophies" instead of having winners and losers has made people unfamiliar with losing or being told they did bad, that it destroys them to hear someone say they did bad.

@@aussiemanlyman2138 I agree with you man, however I think the reason people take things so personally sometimes is an emotional connection or experience to the thing they are talking about. For example in the video, the lady made a video on the me too movement and someone criticized her on that. Idk but maybe she's experienced something personal with the me too movement or has been sexually assaulted and the video was her creative expression to bring awareness of the me too movement and her experience. It was sorta her pain release and when that guy criticized her, it hurt. Understandably so, because that was her way of releasing and expressing her pain, the criticism just added to the pain. Like peeling of a bandage on a wound that's not completely healed. I think for we, as a society, to grow we need to learn how and when to detach our emotions from certain topics, especially controversial ones. When people argue their opinion on a controversial topic, and their opinion is fueled by emotions or a traumatic experience, it clouds their judgment to seeing the valid points that others are making. It just proves how powerful emotions are to people.

@@CandiceGoddard I agree with most of what you stated. However point of fact.... A liberal and a centrists purpose is to put a good mask on conservatives. It's to provide checks and balances in Western politics because its a proven fact that out of control right wing is bad. Compare conservative views to the set in stone concepts of human rights and you will always find human rights violations. Ie crimes. The purpose of liberals and centrists is to rationalize these criminal ideologies instead of eradicating a threat to human rights. In relation to the topic at hand placing liberal as supposedly victimized is essentially right wing human rights violating criminal ideology. It's akin to Awww look at the baby crying over the CRIME I COMMITTED. Your job as a centrist is to rationalize that while the liberal pretends to give a voice those who are in fact victimized. Compared to the set in stone reality of human rights none of you can claim to be good. You're simply justifying why society structure and laws aren't solely based on human rights.

I think a very important point made here is that people will tell you their opinion and most often than not, it's not about you. It's about what you put out there. Jubilee brings light to the reality of dealing with life and the mental attachments we have towards the things we make - and the way we feel about the feedback we receive isn't a concrete way to perceive it. People need therapy... whatever that means for each of them. I think Jubilee means well and they seem to be blinding themselves through their feelings - that is part of the human condition. Hoping we can all learn from each other perspectives about how we perspective our perspectives in a perspective way 😂

Who knows maybe they suffer from depression or suicidal thoughts . Trust me, when that’s the case even a little negative comment can make the difference. She's is clearly the kind of person that if you tell her you don't have a girlfriend, and she then sleeps with you, but then she finds out you do have a girlfriend, she will accuse you of rape. This is their mentality, that's why you hear weird nonsense like '1 out of 3 women will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime'. Or 'most rapes aren't reported'. Then how would you know a rape occurred? Yeah, when you have a weird definition of words, like disagreeing = hating, then you will have weird victim mentality.

I cant help but think of the episode of hells kitchen with Gordon Ramsey, going out to a couple running a restaurant together. "Amy's baking company" is the video I think, that woman went wild when it come to the concept of negativity being targeted hatred and coordinated from a bigger purpose. She was completely blind to the issues being put forward about their business. Ironically one of the biggest issues was them being aggressive and very rude to their customers.

Journalism has been predominantly DEAD for over 10 years. Because every industry the progressives take over is doomed to fail. Progressive Hack-tivists indoctrinated in university are rife on every mainstream platform. No pertinent rigorous questioning or independent investigation. Just fluff pieces and coordinated virtue signalling campaigns for agendas they support and disingenuous fraud or vilification hit-pieces if you dare question or confront progressive dogma. We are on a slippery slope to some sick form of progressive communism, morally manipulated and shamed to comply.

It has always been this bad, the only difference between now and say 100 years ago i that it's easier to see how bad they are. 100 years ago information was harder to find and shady shit was kept behind closed doors. Journalism is trash, and it has always been trash. It's not been dead for the past 10 years, it was dead the moment it started, you are just too blind to see it.

When I first came across their Middle Ground series, I was impressed. I thought the Jubliee team was actually doing something daring with convos like "Palestinians vs Israelis". But it shocked me that the staff were so butthurt by the comments. If you want to make "bold" content by creating a platform to discuss hugely controversial topics in a 10 minute video... its a given that people will have mixed reactions and are entitled to them. Thats part of being a good facilitator. Its clear to me now that the Jubliee staff are just making these videos for the glory of saying "look how politically and socially edgy I am" and are actually just pretentious, self righteous, and spineless content creators.
