Looks impressive. As someone who has owned 5 Skoda's since 2001, it's good to see Skoda's design department earning their crust. I sat in an Enyaq a few Months back, and the premium look and feel was undeniable.... Ironically, Skoda was seen in the same light in the 1930's as BMW and Mercedes are today....

Looks another great car from Skoda. We have an Enyaq 85 and it is absolutely brilliant. Will be hanging onto it for a while but when we change we'll be sticking with Skoda. Better build than VW and better value than Audi.

Looks really great. A big step forward. It’s like a Skoda version of the EV3. I disagree that the EX30 is a competitor - no rear seat legroom, whereas this and the EV3 (and the BYD Dolphin for that matter) all have great rear seat space. Love the storage for the charging cables. Very sensible. Love the orange seat belts, they give the interior a nice lift. Just wish it had LFP batteries. Can’t wait to see a back to back comparison between this and the EV3. They are both game changers. While 350 miles range or thereabouts is great, I currently drive a hybrid with a genuine 450 mile range and even with that fill ups still; come around far too often for my liking.

I have a Stellantis EV as a company car and have had problems with it. Next year when I change, I’ll definitely be looking at the Elroq 85 providing it can be specced below £40,000 to avoid the luxury car tax coming in next year. Will depend on leasing rates, but definitely near the top of my shortlist.

Why won’t the VW group (VW SKODA SEAT etc) give us an integrated dash.Why won’t they realise why the Koreans are surging ahead.We are still offered what looks like an iPad stuck on the dash without proper buttons for climate or volume.The EV3 is a prime example.The VW group have launched alot of nice looking electric cars but I won’t purchase any of them.Keep the umbrella.I want to keep my eyes on the road when I,m adjusting my heating.Its a stunning looking car.

The Enyaq has a volume/mute/channel change conrol on tthe steering wheel and a volume slider under tthe central display. Climate control is very straightforward too. What have you been looking at?

How you managed to fit so much BS in one comment. First infotainment placing is subjective for example KIA EV3 dash looks awful to me would any day take huge pad over dash than integrated narrow screen. There are proper buttons for all those what you were asking for. And third automatic climate barely ever need any adjusting if you keep adjusting it i'm quite sure you don't even know how it works, it's meant to use "set and forget"

And what is the cost of the world? I just got my brand, new Tesla model 3 performance with a down-payment of 1000 euros, and the interest is 3.99. I am middle-aged, earning a normal salary, two grown-up children and some money saved in the bank. Skoda/Seat/Vw/Audi/Lamborghini and so on, is just a enormous company that will just cost the world. Sure, Tesla is the same thing but at least they have only worked with electric cars. Only my opinion.

Things are definitely going to get exciting next year with the EV3 and this, finally good looking, Skoda. For me the Enyaq, apart from being arguably ugly, is simply too big. This, on the same wheelbase, has all the room you could need and will for sure take buyers from its larger sibling as well as the ID4 and the Q4. The very clever design details inside also set a new benchmark.

Another compact suv ev , design wise its only the front end thats of interest the rest of body could have been done in 2018 , price wise by time its available the rest of compo will have adjusted their prices to bring it in at average cost 😢 incorrect ex 30 is not in same size category it drops to small suv but pisses it from 0-60. Just sayin. Range wise shouldnt have bothered with entry level battery , maybe it would have been exceptable 4 years ago.

Touch controls for the climate control really is not an issue. You set the car to the temperature you find comfortable when you buy it and forget it. Mine has been set to 21C for the past 3.5 years. Anybody who is continually fiddling with climate control doesn't understand how it works.

Here in Norway the climate/humidity and temperature changes throughout the day. Starting at -3 below freezing , foggy until past noon, sunny and +17 C until evening going towards 0 degrees and rain/slur. You are welcome to try not to adjust. Good luck.

I only adjust it when i go outside for throw disc golf and come back to car and feel a bit sweaty then i usually lower cabin temperature few degrees.

The Elroq is basically the same car as the Enyaq, only with a smaller boot. But it's a lot cheaper and most people don't need the space of an Enyaq. So I expect the Elroq will eat many sales from the Enyaq.

It's a nice looking car. Skoda products are now very good. But, this is a brand new offering from a relatively large and progressively forward thinking car manufacturer. There is no spare wheel. The back seats can not be folded from the rear of the vehicle and do not lie flat when folded down. The load cover has no storage facility, but that is ok. Neither does my car. And the fact that there is no front storage either, again in my books, not an issue. Neither too has my Outback. The absence of no physical buttons for air con and other 'mostly used' controls, fan speed etc would not be my first choice of vehicle, although I am in the market for either a hybrid or full electric vehicle such as this. I can't help feeling that Skoda have slightly missed the point here with the rear seat arrangement and the now fully integrated touch screen. I like Skoda's, but sadly not for me.

Good looking car with a nice interior, still amazes me that Skodas consistently make a better VW than VW do. I t seems we have reached a development plateau on charging speeds though. Half an hour seems the default time to charge your battery which I thin,I for a lot of 😊people, gives a good enough reason not to switch to electric. Progress towards a 10-15 mins time should be the priority now,

I wouldn't exactly call 230 miles long range. And in my experience with other EVs it won't get anywhere near that. These ranges that are bring trotted out by manufacturers, are simply wrong. I'd like to see more channels doing INDEPENDENT reviews on range with a combination of motorway, city and towing driving. Only then will we get an actual range of these cars.

The ranges are accurate in summer in city driving. They are less in winter and not accurate for high speed motorway driving. Pretty easy actually, and it’s the same for all since the test is government regulated and always the same.

The Elroq has used the full enyaq interior . That design is now 4 years old. Other makers have moved the game on. They didn’t even update the centre console which has unusable cup holders. All they appear to have done to the cabin is update the fabrics and steering wheel boss. Everything else is the same as my 2 year old enyaq. Very disappointing Skoda

I’m all for saving money,especially in the list price, but it’s now 4 years on and the bar has been raised by the Chinese and Koreans. And you still can’t use the blinkin cup holders as cup holders. My old golf had bigger cup holders 10 years ago. And those parts are still being used by other be group cars. So if they had access to use them, why redesign something that can’t be used for its intended purpose. Does no one in Skoda drink coffee?

Compared to other electric cars, this seems... decent. But, personally, I still strongly believe that we need more "self-charging" hybrids (HEVs) than electric cars. HEV's are much lighter, cheaper to produce and buy and don't require the driver(s) to splash out on several thousand £££ worth of home charging infrastructure to make the most of it. From an emissions standpoint, it's better for 10,000 people to be getting 60mpg+ than for 1000 people to have zero tailpipe emissions while everyone else is relegated to 100% ICE vehicles due to cost. The process of mining materials for batteries is notorious for how bad it is for the environment and the people working to mine those minerals, so it's best that they're used to help many people reduce _some_ emissions. Consider that a hybrid Corolla (2019) has a battery capacity of 1.3kWh. So for every 50/60/70kWh battery for a *single* fully electric car, you could produce enough batteries for 38/46/53 "self-charging" hybrids. This, combined with lacklustre public charging infrastructure, makes me extremely pessimistic about EVs in the current market. £30k plus as a _starting_ price, especially in *this* economy, is kind of insane (even if it's better than many of its competitors)

You can pay almost £50k for a Mini today, if you feel inclined..... Most big selling cars today are in the £25 to £35k group.... The least expensive Skoda Elroq costs just £3k more than a new petrol Ford Focus, which starts at £28k. The price gap is narrowing all the time.... The new fully electric Citroen EC-3, priced at under £22k will make an impact on the lower end of the new EV market, although I wouldn't expect it to be all that robustly built.

For EV it is one of the cheapest… you have to compare it to another EV that is family size.

So still £40,000 for a 300+ mile all year range vehicle (you need a £1000 Heat pump for this, plus add more for a decent metallic paint). I was hoping we would be looking more around £35,000-I really want to avoid buying a Chinese-manufactured/owned model.

most new cars are, whether EV or ICE.. its the way things are now, with manufacturers making less cars, but individually more expensive with bigger profit margin.
