What are you talking about? Godzilla: King of the Monsters was NOT disappointing. We got to see the legendary rivalry in all its glory as the movie gave us the best version of Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah, each complete with stunning visuals and superb sound effects. It also brought back the Oxygen Destroyer, a weapon the franchise hadn’t seen used since the original film back in 1954. Then of course there’s the reboot of the classic Godzilla theme song, something that gave me goosebumps when I heard it in theaters. Now in your defense, the movie villain’s plan was ridiculous. Let’s be real though, no one watches the Godzilla movies for the human characters. I mean how many people went to see KotM because it had Kyle Chandler and Millie Bobbie Brown in it? No one! Because people see the films for the monster mayhem. To paraphrase what one of the characters said “It’s Godzilla’s movie, the actors are just in it.”

I hope this is sarcasm. The Oxygen Destroyer made its comeback in, get this, Godzilla vs Destroyah, KotM was disappointing as its use of filters made sure you couldn't see much what was going on and call me no one as I watch these films to see people survive; Give me people to root for, not to root to be squashed.

Emma's plan on Godzilla was even crazier than that. She brought her daughter to work on the day she had the eco-terrorists attack. They literally gunned down everyone. These were her colleagues and probably friends and she deliberately killed them all and risked getting her daughter murdered too.

THANK YOU! The very first time I watched the movie, I was like, “wait a minute. If her daughter had not made her way to the platform where her mother was, she would’ve been gunned down too, right? Because I don’t think the bad guys were trying to conserve ammo”.

The entire villain’s “plan” absolutely baffled me: she lost her son during Godzilla’s previous battle against the MUTOs (if I remember right) so in her grief she wants to … revive Ghidorah so he and the other Titans can f*ck up the world and kill EVERYONE … until she realises her daughter, a.k.a her only surviving child, would die (cos she chose to run right into the middle of F*ckupsberg while Ghidorah was having a literal meltdown) … but her original plan was to end the world, so her kid would have died anyway … or was it that this way her last kid would not have ‘a nice death’? Made my day when the idiot died but I’m irked she got such a good one-liner before she did 😒😒😒
@LadyLeomon
@LadyLeomon 9 күн бұрын
@@williamestes629no, her son died during Godzilla’s fight against the MUTOs, so she decided “humanity = bad, so I’ll use the Titans to end the world” which included her surviving child and she was perfectly fine with … until the kid ran right into the middle of Ghidorah’s fight with Godzilla *then* she decided to undo what she did (made my damned day when she died, the idiot)

Patton Oswalt pointed out a major plot hole in Die Hard: "You asked for a miracle, I give you the FBI." So he assembled a team of world-class thieves to steal millions in bearer bonds. They rehearsed the heist, memorized the blueprints, hacked the magnetic locks, and had a whole terrorist cover story. But when it came to the vault, Hans told them "oh, that's a surprise" instead of telling them the FBI would cut the power, and everyone was OK with it? Nobody would've signed up for Hans Gruber's Mystery Heist, that would be insane!
@ian2081

He kept the last part of his plan to himself to keep the band of mercenaries he’d hired from turning on him. Understandably Gruber probably had trust issues with the group of criminals he was working with

Only a plot hole if one assumes that Hans did not have a track record of previous successful operations that would inspire confidence with would-be collaborators. Besides, the only one he would actually have to convince was Theo the tech-guy: the rest would be perfectly fine with their leader's assurance that he was on top of the situation.

While not a masterpiece, Godzilla: King of Monsters was way way better than Godzilla(2014) for one simple reason: Godzilla was an actual character instead of just having a brief cameo at the end of the movie. As for the humans, they aren't what most people go to a Godzilla movie to see.

Godzilla King of Monsters - did the writer of this list even watch the movie? Ghidorah completely altered the plan because he was not from this world. Once he is gone, all of the monster calm down and are able to live more harmoniously with humans. They were expecting some damage, but there was no way for them to know that Ghidorah was an alien invader that altered everything.

All said "plot holes" in this video explained in the film. Since Hollywood can't allow act of terrorism to win the system so they setup a stupid slip for protagonist to fell in, and that's such a bs. Everything he did in the film was at least one step ahead and they expect people to believe that he slipped on business transactions coverage. Such a very poor research for a video.

I have to strongly disagree with the take on Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is a way better movie than Godzilla (2014). It gave us more giant monster action, better human characters, and a beautiful color palette. 2014's Godzilla has mostly forgettable characters where the story moves at a snail's pace that mishandles Godzilla's screen time by overly teasing him, and with some of the worst night scenes for the amount of money it had.

Some of the movies you missed on, not sure if you watched them or just read a summary online, example: Godzilla king of monsters, she was releasing the titans in a planned order but didn’t know King Godoria was alien and not natural that caused the titans to wake and start destroying the planet which was in-natural to them

The Angels and Demon's book at least embraces all the absurd coincidences required to pull it off. Father McKenna wakes up after being "attacked" and exclaims that he was given a vision by god as to where the antimatter was. Langdon never finds it himself. Which makes some kind of sense, at least. McKenna would have needed to guarantee the antimatter canister didn't explode in the Vatican.

With the last point, the treasure hunt was because he needed it to be found at the last minute so that it can't be disarmed anymore. He also didn't care about Langdon's character finding it, evidenced by him getting almost killed earlier in the movie. He could have provided the necessary hints to move the search forward at any time in case it takes too long or even pretend he got some divine inspiration that allowed him to find it in time. Granted the later option might be a bit harder to pull off without arousing suspicion, but it was an option.

That's why some people ask, "Why don't you just shoot him?" You know, state the simple solution. James Bond style villains chose elaborate plots because to do a more simple way to get rid of the hero. Or alternatively impede the hero through legal ways. But the people who create Bond Villain Stupidity Plans would say it'd be no fun disposing/impeding the hero so easy, a worthy adversary deserves a a noble demise, not lying dead in a shallow grave or ditch with a bullet hole in the head. Or they'll say that it's the thrill of the hero's struggle to defeat the villain, to see who'll eventually win.

What about Cornelius Fudge and Dolores Umbridge in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix? Despite different evidence and testimony from wizards who have never known to be liars, those two kept trying to demonize Harry and his friends as liars and troublemakers while abusing their powers and oppressing not only children at Hogwarts. Meanwhile, Voldemort continued to regain his powers and army, and yet the Ministry of Magic had more than just Aurors who could be used as consultants in preparing to fight back against the dark arts AND protecting the innocent.

Definitely the villain plan in into darkness. I'd also say the villain plans in insurrection and nemesis are quite ridiculous. With insurrection there's no reason a less violent solution couldn't have been found, luke building a resort on the other side of the planet away from the small isolationist population. And woth nemesis you have the whole building and burying B4 nonsense in a dangerous location which could have killed picard, the one person who he needed.

@@charlestownsend9280 To be fair, in Insurrection, the main reason for the plan was to get revenge on the people who kicked them out. Now, why the Starfleet officer was willing to go along with it is another matter, but it was a revenge plot. They didn't WANT to get along with the Baku.
@charlestownsend9280
@charlestownsend9280 10 күн бұрын
@ChaoticYak1 yeah it's more starfleets side of the villain plan that makes absolutely no sense. I get wanting the healing ability but there are way better options than just stealing the thing that makes it and then hoping that you can recreate the affects (if they can do that why steal it?). Although the revenge for being kicked out is a bit dumb as well, as they wanted to leave, which is why they were kicked out, and were then accepted back (because for some reason that star trek film framed younger generations who want to explore rather than be stuck in a stunted society that fears technology as evil, it's a weird premise for a star trek story). It seems more like they misremembered it or blamed them for their decision (been a while since I've watched it so might be forgetting something). I like some aspects of the film, like a more desperate federation being the bad guys is an interesting concept but the execution was just not good. Still better than into darkness and generations (another film where the villains plan makes no sense at all, he had all that time and couldn't just gwt a ship) and maybe final frontier (which again interesting ideas but done badly, but it does have the line what does god need with a starship, which is great).
@ChaoticYak1
@ChaoticYak1 9 күн бұрын
@ Honestly, I quite enjoy Insurrection, but it really felt like a longer episode, rather than a movie (and they stuck in the Starfleet connection to make the movie longer). I mostly enjoyed it for the way the main cast just seemed to be enjoying themselves. But none of TNG movies were great, unfortunately. They should have ended with the final series episode and left it at that. It was a perfect ending.

"Catch Me If You Can" was horrible. Mainly: the motivation for the revenge plot. It wasn't Morgan Freeman's characters fault--the dude fucked up his own trick and it cost him his life. No one sabotaged anything or caused him to die. I hate everything about that movie. The plot, the "illusions" that are literally actual magic, the characters, most of the actors playing the characters--everything. Every actors character notes were just one word: smug. Be smug. To the point of being a narcissist, you are smug.
