I'd like to share a couple of brief stories - one you may know, the other you may not. The Miracle Machine - it was once destroyed by a much maligned member of the Legion of Super-Heroes: Matter-Eater Lad. To prevent the machine's use in a future conflict, Brainiac 5 encouraged him to EAT it. It rendered him catatonic for decades. The Silver Surfer - in an entry on a (possibly bogus) letters page during the Son of Ambush Bug mini series, somebody calls Ambush Bug the worst design for a comic book character ever. His reply... "I'm not buck naked riding a surfboard, am I?"

I kept waiting to see the Ultimate Nullifier from Marvel. A weapon so powerful, it wipes both the target and user from history! Also, I know it wasn't a weapon but the Watcher's Eye in Original Sin definitely changed a lot of the rules for characters like Thor, Daredevil, Deadpool, and especially Nick Fury.

You know what's really funny? In the first avenger's movie, at the end where it shows Thanos, the bad guy is like "They wish to court death" or something along those lines, hinting at the fact that they were gonna go for the "Thanos in love with Death" idea, like in the comics, but as we can see, didn't happen.

The "Hellstorm: Prince of Lies" had more than a few gruesome weapons - The Breathing Gun (wielded by both Jaine Cutter, and later Gabriel Rosseti) among them. Also, Hellstorm nemisis Dr. Loss had an entire array of god and demon killing weapons - everything from an church style organ that caused Demons to have epileptic fits to a set of knives (Pus Knives, more accurately) that "hunted by taste." (yeech!)

Honestly, the Black Lantern ring from the Blackest Night event might be the scariest weapon ever conceived. The ring wears the user, bringing a corpse back to life and seeking that person's attachments in life after death. Necron would have won if the Earth heroes and supervillaiins hadn't discovered the existence of the White Lantern ring.

To be fair the Infinity Gauntlet isn't all that powerful,as it has a few crucial rules it must follow. One of them is it only has power in its own respective universe/dimension and the other is,it can't affect others that are from a different universe/dimension. If memory serves there's a comic where Dr. Doom faces off against Mr. Fantastic and he's using two Infinity Gauntlets,but the Doom that's facing Reed isn't from his dimension and because so,Doom kills Mr. Fantastic like nothing because the Gauntlet's powers had zero effect on Doom.
