As a Geelong supporter, I can't praise Brisbane's game highly enough. Every time they had the ball they looked dangerous, especially when they cut the angles through corridor and lowered the eyes when they entered the 50. No expectations for this Geelong team at the start of the year, and proud of how far they got - with a pretty good coach able to reinvent the wheel. Well done to Brisbane, I really hope you play the same way on Saturday because that is going to be hard to beat.

How'd Brisbane get it done? It was hilarious listening to Kingy dance around the fact that Fagan out coached Scott. I understand his point about Fagan and some of his decisions in big games but please just put your hand up Kingy and admit that after halftime Brisbane and their coaching group changed tactics and the Cats couldn't figure out how to stop them. If the result was switched Scott would get 90% of the credit but because it's the Lions it's always about Brisbane's on the field standing up.

Geelong lost cos Holmes got injured. To be fair that was balanced by Lions losing their ruck but ultimately should have been put away by the cats early.

There was two amazing tackles that were potential match winners. As you said Payne’s was a crack and so was Tom Steward’s. Lions got it done but those two tackles were/could have been match defining.

Swans literally dismantled PA. The amount of uncontested marks was crazy considering they only played each other a few weeks back. Port just looked tired. But no surprise Kingy didn’t give the swans their due. Anyway it’s another non vic grand final and we’re all here for it.

David King, great watcher and analyser of the game. But do you think there is any chance that the reason those plays came off was because the coach stuck with those players and a system that they had developed over several years rather than moving a forward pocket to a forward flank? Do you think that maybe the players took the corridor on because they felt they had their coach's support to take the game on, do you think that if one umpiring decision had have gone their way that they could already have had a premiership? David King most of what you mention in this analysis is only happening because of what the coach has decided/encouraged/ developed/fostered/supported mid week/season/YEARS. 5 points away from back to back premierships? Come on, be a man and own up to you verbal diarrhoea. In the moment coaching matters but no where near as much as building a club...... and that's why you sit on the fence and TALK about the game we love rather than influence it.
