@@cagneybillingsley2165 Staci sure was the cutest sitcom star in the 80's in my opinion. I still think she is an extraordinarily beautiful woman. There can't be too many men that would be upset if their girlfriends or wives were as beautiful and intelligent as she is all grown up. Gosh I'd marry her tomorrow if I were soooooooo lucky. Danica McKellar comes to mind too as being another exceptionally beautiful and intelligent sitcom star from the 80's. I wish I could just relive that whole decade then reset and do it all over again every 10 years. Thank you for the reply!

"Going Places", "My Two Dads" and "Step by Step" broadcasted here in PERU, South America, back to the day, 1992-1993, aprox!! "Step by Step" or "Paso a Paso", as it was known in Spanish for the Latin American market was the most succesful one, here, for obvious reasons!! Ms. Keanan character was very Smart and she was a delight for the eyes! It's amazing how all those American Sitcoms were needed for fillin' in the different time slots of those TV stations abroad!! I always find some interviews with these TV stars, from HIT Shows of the 80's and '90s, that had no idea how BIG the shows they were starring were in other countries and languages!

I think she said on Christine Lakin's podcast that she got fed up on losing out on roles and ultimately decided to go to school to study law. She was great but I don't see her returning to acting. If you think about it, the switch in career path is a very Dana Foster type of move.

I did not know she became an LA County district attorney. I wonder if a TV screenwriter who knew her from her child acting days used her life story as an inspiration for the TV series Lucifer. In that show the Devil comes out of Hell to hang out in Los Angeles, and his main human foil is a detective who used to be a child TV actress.

I watched Going Places! And Mark Foster from Step By Step was in it! It was alright. And as a kid, I didn't always get the jokes. I remember the opening credits were pretty epic. Like it was a carnival ride. And the funny thing is, I honestly thought the one actor was Andrew McCarthy! From well.....Everything in the 80s and early 90s lol. But I was wrong!

Finally, you did someone from my childhood. I don't think she re-invented herself but she took a different career path and I understand why she used a somewhat different name. We really don't hear too many good things that happen to child actors. Usually, child stars die early and become addicts or alcoholics. By the way do you know what happen to one of the boys on Step by Step, they had six children and then they were down to 5.
