This is 8 months old but how do you like working in correctional? I got exposed to the environment through an old hospital I teched at, they rented a floor out to the prison. So now as a nurse I want to try it.

Honestly, it was one of the easiest jobs I had as far as job duties, but you have to have thick skin and don’t let anyone manipulate you because they will try it, men and women.

Both! I learned how to handle myself better when I’m being disrespected and faced with confrontational inmates. I learned the rules and regulations of jail nursing and every decision i made was based on that and I didn’t have any problems. Documentation is key!!!!!! Good luck to you!

@@teady012002 I only have experience in Georgia. A coworker of mind did an assignment in San Diego, Ca and she liked it. There are travel corrections groups on Facebook you can check in to

Would you say LPN is a very social job with coworkers? I am working at a plasma center right now, and the environment of working so close with other coworkers has drained me. I am very limited in social interactions…

Yes to be honest but i was by myself a lot when I worked night shift and didn’t talk to anyone until the morning when I gave report.
