I just teardown my GA-800 last night and the internal is quite similar to that watch. There is no more plastic white protection between the module and the case that you can find in previous G-shock watches. I do not question the structure integrity of these new release watches but it looks like Casio decided to cut off some parts perhaps in this price range.

Carbon fiber is very shock dampening in addition to its great strength: the older plastic casing has thus probably been made redundant?

Just remove that ring and they'll be out. Pretty easy but tedious work when putting them back.

Awesome video thanks for sharing. I was wondering I wanted to purchase a black bezel to change with my tan one. Can the decorative Allen screws on the bezel be transferred or do you know if the bezels come usually with there own screws? I saw you left them in during the video

Interesting idea. It is possible, the 'allen screws' are transferable but they are really hard to be removed. Feels like removing a rivet. You need to push it out from the bottom or pull it out from the top. Either way, you might scratch the bezel or accidentally hurt yourself. Just be careful and goodluck.

cool video sir, just like always. i really thought it is a monocoque carbon watch case with screw from topside/watch face. quite dissapointing because i thought the material is all carbon included the module. :( it would be great if it has tough solar and sweep second hands eventhough it is quartz. keep it coming sir. cheers. :)

You'd need to find one with the exact same diameter & thickness. Then, you'll need to buy that bulky glass remover tool to safely perform the swap. Doable but with quite high cost, confidence & skill.

@@gshockhighfashion noticed towards the end of your video I could probably do it but finding the glass for a 2000 series is impossible, plenty 1000 series glass replacement it could be that I buy a cheap secondhand watch and just replace the glass and housing. I have the limited edition coast series with the orange and green sea glass scheme it my favourite watch but kept it in my gym bag and the padlock made a nice scratch on the glass.

Question on removing the clasp on the GA-2000 resin band - in short, how do you get the darn thing off?!?!? Another you tube showed a guy removing the clasp on a Casio band by depressing the spring-loaded ends and removing the clasp and it was that simple. Welp, not on mine as I couldn't push/budge either of the ends in one iota! It's like they were frozen?! Talk about Fort Knox! Sheesh!

The quality is really pathetic. In the backplate you removed, I guess Casio had not even bothered to remove the milling cutter marks on the moulds.

@@gshockhighfashion There is no reason to have a pattern there as it is on the inside and not seen unless opened. This is just shoddy workmanship. Not intentional. The least they could have done is sandblasted the mould ornpolished it to get an even finish.
