For new pilots, I suggest to get an Armattan frame this is mainly due to the umlimited warranty for any broken frame or parts of the frame as your start flying your quad learning tricks to do.

quadmula siren is great also for lightweight build without giving up too much on durability. great resonance characteristics also

Been doing some research on this also mate. Just ordered the Siren F5 Split to do a premium build on. Bacon Ninja has some great videos on this, as does MurdersFPV. 👌👍

@@reboot110 speedybee has serious flaws, the only reason to really look towards the speedybee is if you fly o3. Otherwise the siren is better

AOS for life, its easy to build, roomy, definitely very good resonase performance, and I have not had a problem with durability and have been flying it for about 3 months now. Just make sure you get from Iflight instead of cncdrones because the carbon they use is lower quality.

AOS5 V2 flys great but breaks to easy . Nazgûl evoque f5 03 awesome crash it all day long in Bando and works perfect the 20 20 stack not so great but does work . Speedybee master not bad .

My AOS 5 is like an old man's brand new Corvette. Lots of fancy parts, highly tuned but I fly it real easy and slow. I built it as a performance tuned rig more than a hardcore freestyle basher. PSA don't ever let Bubby FPV touch your AOS 😂

I love my apex dc, the only thing that is a little tricky is that it’s a pretty tight frame. I’ve got a speecybee f7v3 stack and it just barely fits in there and you have to cut down the gummies on the bottom of the esc for it to fit. I also had to run my capacitor on the xt60 because there is literally no room between the back of the stack and the 03 for the cap. Other than that it’s a solid frame and looks sleek

Joshua touched on this tangentially, but consider this: don't build from a frame. Get a bind-and-fly or PNP. You will save heaps of time and money and get just as good a result. I learned this the hard way having built 2 quads from scratch and one off-the-shelf.

I don't agree, building a quad gives you all the knowledge to fix it. And it's not that much more expensive (it might even be cheaper).

@@idvfpv Its unlikely to be cheaper in my experience. That is one of the things I found out the hard way. Even if you buy all the right components first time (which is easy to get wrong) then they are likely to cost you more than a ready-built quad, which will come well-finished and factory tuned. Do the exercise, price up all the parts for a common pre-built quad and come back to me if you end up with a cheaper price. I'll wait.

@@timlong7289 this is a good point: “not all parts will fit” I design motors for FPV, and also do testing of all sorts… There is usually 1-2 dozen “TO TEST” frames on the wall and I start every build by taking my parts supply and seeing what will fit best. The last tricky build I did a few weeks ago was a G4 Alpha with a PDB and separates on a prototype 5.5” frame and prop. ESC wise the Foxeer slim 60 fits in some but the OG one fits better in others, doing a lot of 4.5-4.9” ultra high performance motor/prop/frame development recently, so it gets even trickier on these more compact builds… Bunch of examples… some frames don’t have the space for multiple capacitors, or auxiliary gyro/GPS batteries… the frame is pretty important for what parts you want to fit. Having said that, nearly all modern frames are great, I haven’t run into a truly impossible to tune frame, and I’m running 8S on most of the builds, which itself makes tuning significantly trickier, especially after hard crashes and poor maintenance.
