We were on the way to see Urge at a small bar in Louisville, Ky. But a storm came and a tornado warning so the show was canceled. I almost saw them!

@@mr.zzyzzx6136 Phoenix Hill Tavern show? I thought it was more like the late 90s. Maybe 1998 or 9?

I remember seeing this live on tv and I was pissed for a week because they cut to a commercial right after Urge went into S.H.🤬 I always loved how UO always looked so completely mellow & chill no matter the venue all the while rocking your face off. Take note kids: this is what raw talent and good old fashioned rock n’ roll looks like right here. 🤘

@@J.F.-yy8ji why would it be weird for them to write a song about an addiction a bandmate was going through? He was the well known user, not them. Not everyone who writes a song literally does everything they’re writing about. David Bowie never went to space AFAIK. Haha

Saw the Urge right around this time at the Academy, an old theatre in NYC. They were unbelievable. Saturation is one of the most underrated albums of all time. It's every bit as good as the records Nirvana was making at the time and sold 1/100th of the copies, if that.

I always thought the guitar tone on this song was SO fat and heavy ,,sounds Baritone ish on here great tune!
@mccanlessdesign3 жыл бұрын
"Fat" is the word. I had this CD in my car when I built my first kickin' stereo - three-thousand watts in a Volvo wagon with a baby seat! Good times.

Quite possibly the only band that has an "Official hate club".......These guys made some serious enemies.
@bcancun123 Жыл бұрын
Why? Can you explain
@TheLarryburns84 Жыл бұрын
@@bcancun123 immature underground attitudes. UO were an indie band for a number of years before signing with a major and when they did, all the indie dorks started complaining. these two crazy ass women even started a hate-zine about UO called The Stalker that the band themselves completely roasted and wrecked in the song of the same name on Saturation
@mr.zzyzzx613611 ай бұрын
@bcancun123 The band took their star attitude seriously onstage and off, and ditched their fan base when they got to the Majors. I know, I was there from the first tour through the cancellation of the "Exit" European tour, which happened after management convinced the crew to do Brazil for half pay.

If you saw them live on a night when Blackie was psycho, which was often, the drums took serious abuse. For the cameras they were all trying to get it right

Surely you jest? Blackie was an absolute beast on the drums. This is just not a very good mix on this performance.
