Small towns don't worry about following the law, because nobody calls them on it. They just do what they decide is right, and ignore the law they are required to follow. Living in a small town, you see this all the time. People put in positions of authority, either by election or appointment, are never in full awareness of the laws by which they operate. I'm surprised that the towns legal representative, their solicitor in some areas, allow the board to open themselves up to legal improprieties. Then again, if you bring suit, he makes more money on the back end.

I moved here from Michigan a year and a half ago and since the first month I’ve asked them why I get billed a late charge when I get my bill after the due date they tell me it’s my responsibility to know when it’s due they can’t be held responsible for the mail. It’s funny I get all my bills on time from everyone else including Central Florida electric. They’re the only ones that comes late, so what does that tell you they’re counting on those late fees as revenue.

We used to use a fuel company who billed 2x per month, making bills due on the 15th and the 30th, but would mail the bill for the 15th being mailed on the 10th, and the bill due on 30 being mailed on the 20th. Needless to say, we paid our bills on the 30th, which resulted in "late" fees that we did not pay and, when this company was in a jam, needed an emergency fix on one of their trucks, we held it hostage until they paid for the bill before driving off our property.

Check you toilet it could be leaking. My Uncle's house was doing this and his bill went up. They have a meeter on his house so they have a way to See what he uses. After checking everything we found out that the toilet was leaking and because of that his bill went up until we fixed it asap.

Reminds me of my last day of highschool actually.. what shoulda hit national news got swept under and the harassment by the school and cops showing up ended that day even tho i wasnt officially expelled. Fkin woman tried to throw me under the bus as racist for giving a dude that kept popping a girls bra in class try to get suspended, gave him a lesson in manners not once but twice, second time in that admins office on camera as she literally tried to hide what the guy did that would get the school on the news, and after calling her out on it and her digging her own hole on the video i said calm qs could be ok well that means i wont need to finish the year bein auto failed, so ima get my moneys worth then since we got broke up. And went right back to kicking his teeth in. Even his own father thanked me for my not bringing cops in him on probation, tho the girl may have later. Security guard wouldnt touch me, or remove me. Hell he and the teacher that winked as left me in charge of class to go pee after btch pissed her chair n started pulling vid to call the super and cops.. well i went back to convo like nothing happens and told her ok now i dont see why i need to stay, the cops have my address and i walk home anyway. Srcurity didnt even follow. Seems when the super saw he told her if it hits the news shes fired and officially relieved of her position. The guard Ty, found me at the atrium where the jrotc teacher had grabbed me a sub out of pocket me missing lunch and he appologized for the interruption, thanked me profusely bein dude had spit in his face multiple times tryin to get hit by an adult or expelled. Said the girl had asked him to thank me because wasnt the first time with him and her getting scared to be caught alome with him. The other admin came by that knew me far better than her and just shakes his head laughing, "that got me a easy promotion" and just after Ty slips up behind us and all he can do is horse laugh after stayin to keep eye on him and seein her office vid n the call to the super.. see they dont care what the right thing is, just how the actual truth makes them look. Let your kids be best down and brainwashed into submissive low will workers, while we occupy ourselves sending cops after kids and their parents over having a bad hemorrhoid day. That was 20 years ago and everyone sees the vids of em now and knows how far rhey have sank. Bootlickin child abusers and protectors of them. They dont deserve your respect. Keep your kids far away, get em a ged earliest age you can and theyll be into college credits at 16 and ahead of the curve they want you legally bound to.

In my state the Sherriff is an elected office and answerable to the people, not a council or "official". The council is elected and is answerable to the people. The officials are just glorified BROOM PUSHERS, hired to do a job. If they are hired, they can be fired. If they are elected, they can be voted out or impeached. Unfortunately, too many of both think they have absolute power. They are ONLY granted authority to act within the law, on behalf of the PEOPLE! That's what the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights tell me. Too many elected & payed SERVANTS don't know or respect the law. Makes one almost wish for the days of tar and feathers. LOL

My experience has been that because they are small & usually it’s the same group of people in office time & again, they think they can choose to run things & get away with things because they never think anyone will notice.
