First manager I've seen who flipped the poor performances on the players. I love it, why shouldn't the players be thrown into this if they are not playing well. They are paid to do a job, same as the manager same as the staff.... excuses, excuses, excuses. Wow, I thought he was spot on.
@angelotiti73687 ай бұрын
in Italy fans are way more critical towards the players. We are used to criticize the players if they play bad or the manager if he doesn't know what he is doing. Conte was used to this prospective so when he founds himself sorrounded by excuses he had to blame the players himself since no one was doing it
@mabel39897 ай бұрын
@@angelotiti7368not true. At least not anymore. Juventus is doing shit from years? Pirlo's fault, Sarri's fault, Allegri's fault. Never admitting that the players are NOT Juventus level players. Never accusing Juventus managers for letting Marotta go and waste tons of money on average players. Napoli this year? Garcia's fault, then Mazzarri's fault, then Calzona's fault. Never accusing the players for low effort. Now Italian National Team? Spalletti's fault. Not saying that we have no more good players like Chiellini, Cannavaro, Nesta, Maldini, Totti, Del Piero, Pirlo and such.
@johnlau67492 ай бұрын
@@mabel3989 it's not about whether players put in effort or not. All these actually is because of how managers set these players up to fail. The latest one is Ten Hag: why play lone CDM in the middle and expect them to cover far too many spaces when u gonna constantly 1 vs 4 opponents every single game? This is idiotic

World we live in now unfortunately. Instead of taking responsibility, cry victim or hardship and hope people ignore the issue and feel sorry for you 🤢 like he said, they are elite professionals who are being paid INSANE amounts of money. I love Conte, both as a player and a manager, he brought Juve back from the brink and carried a fairly middling Italy a long way into Euro 2016. Yet this is rich coming from Conte, he seemingly has no qualms pushing Del Piero out of Juve (they should’ve kept him for the following season), and literally left Quagliarella to waste on the bench while he gave undeserved time to the likes of Borriello, then completely ignored Quag for national duty whilst he gushed over the likes of Eder, Pelle and Zara.
