I know you've done a fitment video but I'd love another one that includes how big of a spacer I need (that also changes to a 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern) and tire size and how much to lower the car with either 17" or 18" wheels and how much offset etc.. I remember you saying to get an 18" wheel x 9.5 wide with a +38 offset, I'd just like an expansion of that to include the aforementioned details 😁

I just bought Apexi N1 coil overs from you guys. and plan on getting adjustable lower control arms in the rear. one of your older videos stated that if you plan on replacing the lower control arms, you will need adjustable rear toe arms. could maybe the next tech tip Tuesday be about the various diferent rear toe arms FT86speedfactory has available, and how to install them?

Yes Oles’s make sure your shop does the toe correct. Hence my tires over the weekend. Toe got out of alignment and shredded my tears in a 100 miles.

Tech Tips: Fender rolling would be nice to see. I love meaty tire setups with minimal camber especially in the rear. Would love to try and squeeze some 18 x 10/ 10.5 wheels in the back.

How much camber can you get from just camber bolts before the tire/rim has clearance issues with the coilovers? I'm most interested in 17x9 +35...40ish with 245/40
@shadowxps
@shadowxps 5 жыл бұрын
Timur Iskhodzhanov I run 17x9 +40 at -3 degrees in the front -2 in the rear. You can run more but you won’t need much more. You will only start to see problems around +45. You will be hard pressed to get that much camber out of just camber bolts though unless you do the bolt swap trick.

You're forgetting that caster also lets you have more camber with steering input. So if you don't want more camber because lets face it, too much negative camber is bad for driving in a straight line, but you want more camber in the corners for handling, you add caster. I don't know how viable it is to add caster on our cars, but it's IMO the biggest factor of caster. Also worth noting more caster reduces how much the wheels turn though, which affects turning radius.

If you get coilovers, get an alignment. But your car is now slammed and has aftermarket parts so shops don't want to touch it - let alone if they can even get it on their lift

My car started pulling to the left after I got new tires, got an alignment and the rear right toe was -.96. They were able to get it to -.27 but my car is still pulling to the left and they said something is wrong with the alignment but didn't know what. I took it to an alignment shop after and they said they couldn't see what's wrong and told me to go to the dealer. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? Could it be a bent toe arm? Or control arm? It's a 2017 Toyota 86 Special Edition.
