Wonderful tips on pulling the rivets and using correct size washer…

Hello, You need not worry, Ultrasonic parts cleaners work excellently for cleaning almost everything. The larger the better. Project Binky uses them to great success to clean all kinds of parts. I have used then for years to clean all manner of carbeurators and mechanical bits and bobs. they work a treat. If it Were me I would buy another TVR before you get priced out of the market.

Keith, to clean my carb I used a small hand held media blaster (one that looks like a pistol with a hopper on top) and filled it with baking soda, blasted the parts outside (stuff goes everywhere) then just washed away the excess on my drive with a hose and cleaned the carb throughly with carb cleaner to ensure none was left in any orifices. Worked great and looks almost brand new 👍🏻

Another very informative video, I did the exact same with fitting my wheel arches (including the washers) if I need to it again, I'll definitely remember the tip about putting a bolt to create a spacer as it is a bit tricky. Cheers.

Hiya Keith-hope your well. Enjoyed the video. Go on Matthewsons auctioneers web site. As in bangers and cash off telly. April 23rd auction, theres a 1978 Ford Cortina mk4 2000S for sale. 34,000 miles from new. One owner in white. It was my aunties car, she died recently and my uncle is having it auctioned. They had it from new, 43 years, garaged every night and pampered. Thats what I would buy. Estimate is 15 to 20 grand.
