I am SO happy that you've started WoT lore, and that this wonderful series is finally getting the mass attention it so deserves. Robert Jordan would be proud.
@equallyeasilyfuqyou2 жыл бұрын
Me too. It was always a pretty well known book among fantasy fans, but I want it to gain GoT status..but the first season was a kind of disappointment, as I knew it would be. You can’t make a series with 8 episodes to cover a book that’s 782 pages long
@KabbalahSherry2 жыл бұрын
@@equallyeasilyfuqyou - Facts 😒 Not sure if another 2 hours worth of world building & character motivations would have fixed everything that was wrong w/the 1st season... but it damn sure wouldn't have hurt it! I don't see why Amazon can't afford at LEAST 10 episode seasons. It's ridiculous. Even their Lord of the Rings series only got 8 episodes.

The Wheel of Time turns, and ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legends fade to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Golden Age of Television by some, an Age yet to come, an age long past, a wind rose in the Mountains of Santa Monica. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning. Born below the sun parched peaks, the wind blew east, out across the Beverly Hills, once home to the stars of the silver screen, now the playground of the Forsaken and Friends of the Dark. Down it flailed into Culver City Studios, into the narrow streets of the backlot, and swirled around the thirteen monstrous sound stages. The Wind swept past the quaint bungalows and speed towards the majestic White Mansion that dominated the grounds. -Narg
@user-ls1ep7qq4n6 жыл бұрын
The Mansion wasn't the most splendid display of architecture to grace this beautiful yet corrupted land, and the longer a rational person observed it, the more uneasy they became. The look of majestic opulence was soon swept away as one came closer to the crumbling edifice. An aura of decay and unwholesomeness enveloped the once proud architecture of the massive alabaster mansion. Part of the middle of the 3 front balconies had collapsed, leaving bricks, dust, and rotted wood strewn in front of enormous dark oak double doors that stood ajar, but unwelcoming. The darkness beyond the doors was impenetrable, and streaks of light glinted within the entryway, created by the once magnificent chandelier that now hung broken and twisting in the wind that had recently began to pick up. This wasn't the first stately residence to be left to rot in this forsaken land. Many more had been passed and noted by the dark cloaked figure who sat mounted on a huge blood bay stallion that pawed at the ground and snorted loudly to show his unease. A gloved hand reached out and patted the large warhorse affectionately. The giant bay immediately quieted and went still, accepting the calming murmurs and gentle strokes of the man who rode him. "What became of them, Jak?", the man asked. The horse nickered softly and stomped his enormous hoof once which created a small cloud of dust that faded slowly in the deepening gloom of twilight. The man thought back to the wasted and once human creatures he came across while traversing this beautiful, almost heavenly realm. They were harmless and pathetic creatures with sunken features, and wide unfocused eyes that rolled and googled stupidly, but also belied an animal cunning. There were male and female, it seemed to the man on the horse, with the females usually having purple or green hair and apparently being the leaders. They were hideous to behold and would immediately start this strange loud and obnoxious sort of grunting communication while rolling their insane eyes in a most horrid fashion. If any of the other creatures heard her hideous babbling they would immediately start repeating the same guttural singsong phrases while shuffling around mindlessly and becoming very agitated. He heard one pink haired plump zombie thing say what sounded like "Trunnnmpf!" yesterday morning and all of the pathetic loathsome creatures began to shake and moan violently. Some started to beat their heads upon the bricks of a church nearby and claw at their faces while their large bulbous eyes rolled around in helpless rage.

Thank you so much for this. It's very well done! I read this series years ago, made it to Fires of Heaven and then stopped due to a busy life. I loved it though and by the time I wanted to get back into it (very recently) I hate to say I forgot a lot of what happened. I don't want to restart 4 900 page books again. But these videos are helping me remember so I can get back into. Again thank you!

Very good video except for one thing. The Aiel were sent off to preserve the Aiel, and the objects of power were merely both a ruse to make The People go, and a way to try to keep them out of the hands of rogue channelers (evil or insane).

I wouldve like the story more if Lews Therin was actually reborn as the previous false Dragons and lost because he was non-cooperative and insisted on doing everything himself. And this third rebirth was his last chance.
