Nice to see you making more WoT videos again. It’s my first time seeing one of your videos in about a year or so.

Thanks, it has been a while hasn't it? But I'm back now making vids here and there once again

Rand on the Wheel is 99.9% likely to be something Ishamael does to him in the World of Dreams or that he sees in the Flicker scenes

I honestly think Rand being bound is some sort of dream sequence, be it The World of Dreams or not.... It just seems so symbolic to me.
@WheelofTimeTheory Жыл бұрын
It very well could be, but the question is who's dreaming this sequence? Rand? or one of the others?
@rainbowsprinklez Жыл бұрын
@@WheelofTimeTheory My guess is Rand. He must feel overwhelmed and trapped by the wheel. Forever chained to his past. Dream, vision, something like that.

That line is from the books. And it is indeed the forsaken she is talking about. There is no debate, that is word for word from the book.

They've wanted to represent the different powers visually from the outset, but didn't (for most of s1) partly due to production constraints (massively strained CGI teams) and partly as a way to develop insights into the OP step by step. In the episode "Blood Calls Blood", you can see the OP strands turning yellow (presumably to signify Fire) before reaching the fireball forming in Egwene's hand.

I haven't kept up in sometime so I'd either forgotten that point or didn't even know that in the first place. That's a shame, well at lease they have the capacity to do so for the 2nd season.

Disagree. At least in regards to the last point. If they were adjusting it based on people’s perspective, they would have had more complex liking weaves when it was only the asedai were channeling, such as the scenes in the asedai camp

Fun

I think that is yellow not red being channeled by Egwene. Yellow would IMO represent Air, so Egwene is channeling Air and Earth (green) I think. That is in line with what she is proficient with in the books (along with Spirit) I believe. :)

Nice spot, I didn't think of that in the moment while recording it. It very much likely is :)

@@WheelofTimeTheory Now that I thought about it more, and I've also been listening to the series again, it could be Fire like you said, because in the books they describe Saidin as being more "volatile" than Saidar so Egwene's "fire" would look slightly different/subdued in color compared to Rand's "fire".

Much like season 1, season 2 will be a discombobulated mess and will fail to convey and honor the story told by Robert Jordan. These characters only had the names borrowed and applied in this mal-adaptation. There should only be 3 taveren, and making Egwene and Nynaeve part of that destroyed those character's agency. They did not need to be taveren to be special. But then again... the show hasn't even explained what taveren means. See what I mean? Basics... the show doesn't just miss the major points but also the basics.

lol that sounds like a game patch :D "in patch 2.0 of wheel of time, the one power will now be shown with colour to differentiate between threads". : p one of my big concerns is will we see rand become good with the sword (or atleast some what decent enough to hold his own). because they removed all weapons training for rand and matt and perrin from season 1. so i don't know if we will get matt vs the brothers at the tower and rand vs turok. i also hope we get to see rand at full power. i hate that it was removed form the end of book 1. the fact that rand is shown to wield so much power and yet he is destined to go mad was one hell of a hook for me to want to read the next books. like is he going to be cured? is he not going to go mad? does he have to save the world before he goes mad? is there a way to keep the madness away at some other cost till he can save the world? i don't think any non readers who watched the show got that type of feeling.
