I'm not usually a fan of commentary, but this was actually suited very well to the video. great work on getting racing by the way, this car looks like it was a blast to drive.

I was driving that Aggressive Civic! From my point of view I was extremely patient through 8, 9 and 10 and simply drove past you two on the front straight...hardly aggressive!! :)

Richard Hylands I agree
@speedacademy9 жыл бұрын
Richard Hylands Haha, it was only aggressive in the sense that we went three wide into Turn 1. It was a totally fair move and you were well past before turn-in, my commentary was really just me making excuses for trading a bit of paint with the Contour.

A wide bodied 2nd gen MR2 with a massive spoiler and watching that haul uphill, turbo... as a 500 dollar chump car? Seems legit.
@speedacademy8 жыл бұрын
+atsernov that car would have started life as a non-turbo MR2, but ya still seems like a stretch as a legit $500 car. The way ChumpCar does it, if you can buy that car anywhere in the States (where the rules are set) then it's permissible by the rules. Then you have a point system for the mods and engine swaps that determine what class you run in. More mods, more power, and you run in a higher/faster class. But the truth is no competitive ChumpCar is a $500 car. It may have started out as a one, but once you add all the safety gear and mods it's worth $5k minimum
@atsernov8 жыл бұрын
Speed Academy Safety gear and often brakes and tires are usually not counted in events like this. But the base car, good luck finding a second gen MR2 for 500. Well, OK, maybe a rust bucket that needs an engine for 500US. XD

Not the best car when it comes to fast cornering speed but awesome to see a Swift racing on the track. A broken rod???? :-S A GTi engine is unbreakable so how this happend? Didnt you change the oil before the race and for the next day? 2bad the 1,3 doesnt have that torque to get it uphill fast but the high rpm range can make that tiny difference to shift out an opponent. :-D

i knew what was coming from the second i listened to that engine, it was too slow for a G13B it was clearly a poorly mantained and tired engine
