Thats honestly one of the sickest FRS builds I've seen in a long time.
@McLoven-vm1ck9 жыл бұрын
Cool build, I love the idea of swapping in the awesome 2JZ into the FRS, more power/torque potential of course but I'm a big fan of Toyota's and getting a Toyota engine in there to replace that Subee boxer makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

I love the Speed Academy Ch. You guys have taken the Modified Mag (RIP) and turned it into a digital media format. Everything I loved about the print is now consumable through Speed Academy. Thanks for your insight, hard work and know how. I look forward to all your new videos and enjoy the camera work as well as the humor. If you can do more episodes on swaps such as the 2JZ, or an LS, except I want to see you and Pete do the swap as a series like the ASS2000. By the way if the swap is in a Mazda RX8 that would be awesome! Just sayin'

Hayleboi Thanks for the kinds words! We'll be starting a 2JZ swap BMW wagon by the end of the summer after we finish off the S2000, FR-S and S14. The wagon should be a super cool project and series.

Is it possible to keep AC/Heat in a 2jzgtte to a FRS Or a 2jzgtte or 1jzgtte to a s13? without cutting into major parts of the chassis ex, Firewall wheel well etc?
@speedacademy9 жыл бұрын
+Antonyy sze You dont have to do any cutting or hacking, rather it's figuring out how to connect the AC and heater lines to the FRS that can be a bit tricky but nothing a set of custom lines and hoses can't solve.

2jz and lsx which is better for track and drifting?
@speedacademy9 жыл бұрын
Muammarvsgaming ROBLOX and more There really isnt a better one per say, both engines are equally capable and provide great power capabilities. It comes down to whether you want instant throttle response (LSX) or massive high RPM horsepower (2JZ).
@RealKaiserBelial9 жыл бұрын
Speed Academy thx for info i just got into high mods like conversion
@gtmike9169 жыл бұрын
Speed Academy What about weight balance and weight it's self? Most LSX Engines are MUCH lighter than a 2JZ is. That's less weight in the nose, and then it's a V8 for the LSX so it's more spread out and may fit better.

Dont even bother. Man cars need manual transmissions. Not that bullshit
@Smearrrrrrgle9 жыл бұрын
+Davie Blaze lol manual elitism? Sure it's more engaging but if you're tuning a car for speed wouldn't you want paddles?
@SI0AX8 жыл бұрын
+samir kasimi Unless the padle-shifters are mounted on the steering column. If it's mounted on the steering wheel(like on most paddle cars), then you reverse the shifting when the wheel is turned(which happens a lot while drifting). I think you could get used to it, but it's extremely confusing when your shifting paddles are constantly swapping around multiple times is just a few seconds. + Automatic transmissions usually blow up with that amount of power being sent through it.
@HanMew8 жыл бұрын
+SI0AX But the 2JZ is in an automatic car as well.
@SI0AX8 жыл бұрын
Yung Houn Maybe the 2JZ is available with an Automatic but the transision they use in the Supra's that have very high HP are manual. The "dudeinblue' reviews a 1000HP supra that has a stock manual transmission.

sooooooo where are all the fanboys that claim the fa20 can make over 600hp stock and be reliable? BIG difference between a dyno queen and a car that actually has to perform...
@AustinsThicc9 жыл бұрын
No one has made it with 600hp and reliable. I think the highest hp out of a stock block frs was 600hp by full blown motor sports. The car made 20 dyno pulls and then they tore the engine apart and built it. However in the course of that they blew like 5-6 transmissions
