That’s exactly what happened to me. I was in the showroom hoping to do a deal on a 1250GSA and saw the new 1300GSA on display. It was like watching a peacock displaying its feathers! It certainly won my attention…..and my bank details!!!

You said you regret selling the CRF. Well I don’t! Don’t get me wrong I loved that bike but I love its replacement a whole lot more. Its replacement is another Honda, the 2024 Honda NX500. What a bike! Give it a go and I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do.

That was a really interesting and entertaining video - without any bike riding! When you said you regretted getting rid of the bike you could ride anywhere, including off road on the farm, I wondered if you had looked at the new Can-Am off road bikes? For short trips anywhere on any kind of road or track, they could be ideal.

You talking about Solo and Arizona reminded me of my trip from British Columbia down to Vegas and back with just one stop. There’s a stretch we’re basically most bikes wouldn’t make it between petrol stations in the middle of Idaho and Nevada. I did two consecutive days of 10 hours, spent two days in Vegas and then did the same back. I had four seasons in a day with the wind, the rain and the snow trying to kill me. I posted a rather rubbish video, part one and part two on my KZbin for my kids to watch when I’m long gone.

Did you know that the BMW R1250 RT’s cruise control won’t work above 160 kph (100 mph)? One of the things you discover when cruising for 10 hours through Nevada and Idaho.

Hmm, a 1300 GSA……. Simply not a fan, I see Iain at Big Rock Moto just bought a 1250 GS, me, I have an r9t but with Morocco and Iceland down the road I’m going with Nathanthepostmans recommendation and getting a 450, probably a BMW 450 GS when it drops. Will let you know how I get on 😅
