I love this channel too and its great hearing you experts talking about these beautiful old and rare american bikes. Your restorations are so original and as good and accurate as possible. Its so good the museum is there for your father was an amazing bike enthusiast and keeping his dream going is the biggest compliment and it just doesnt get better than this. I love it, thank you so much for enabling us foreigners to experience the excitement of seeing you talk about them and even better, work on and ride them. A huge thank you also to the older generation for donating their beautiful machines.

Anyone who doubts that the first starts are exactly that, don't understand the integrity of good honest people. There are plenty of questionable characters in the world. I will always stand with and defend good, honest, God fearing people. Especially if they love Harley Davidsons and classic iron. Much love and respect to you all at the shop. I'm a car painter by trade, and I'd move across the country and paint for you for free. I love and believe in what you do. Thank you for being true to the heritage that brings and binds us together. God bless you all.

What's "ultra rare" is to find a dude as genuine and just awsome to even listen to as Matt. He has forgot more about these old bikes than most of us could even dream of learning. Top notch museum run by top notch people. Another great video 💯

Love all these first starts. Just curious......So there's no first start break-in on a bike engine like you have on a car engine? On the car engines I build I usually run a steady 2000-2500rpm or so to break in the cam and try not to let it idle for the first 15 minutes or so. None of this needed on a bike engine?
@NBSV1
@NBSV1 Жыл бұрын
Part of the reason for the 2000-2500rpm on a car engine is because much of the oil for the cam is from oil slinging off the crank and oil draining from the head. So, you need some rpm to make sure everything is well oiled. Old bikes like this don’t really circulate oil like more modern stuff and rely on only a few ounces of oil in the bottom end. So, holding a higher rpm isn’t needed to keep things lubes. And, they’re normally using parts that are used so may not need as much break in.
