Watching Derek Clark was one of the most inspiring things I have ever witnessed live. That dude brought a superhuman level of effort. Insane to see someone be able to keep going full tilt with that kind of control running off of fumes.

I mean.. they see the same pitcher all game. Of course at this level they will get him timed up.. it was a matter of time. Props to the pitcher. Hell of a game. Coaching here could have been better IMO. These aren't regular season games. He wasn't throwing a no-no or better.. so why not bring in a guy at the top of the 9th?.. change the tempo? Then you gotta walk honecut in that situation

Pitching staff was wrecked going into the series. Clark was channeling monk like superhuman focus and determination to try to give their bullpen enough breathing room to make it through 2 more games. It was a tough gamble for the coach, but it was not an unreasonable bet to stick with the devil you know. The reliever gave up a monster walk off HR while Clark's HRs were so close to staying in.

Let me guess, you were ok with the cocky strut done by the WV pitcher every inning. I don't like any of it, but it's no longer the old men's world. These kids came up a lot different, just going to leave it right there. Good win for the Heels.
