#Wheeltalk changes an Ego battery on a ranger modded onewheel plus. After 3 days and 10 miles I wanted to change batteries. I will show you what to look for when changing batteries.
The great thing about a Ranger-Modded onewheel is the ability to quickly change batteries. This modd has allowed me much more range and freedom when riding. A 2.5 amp hour (AH) Ego will double your regular range. A 5.0 AH Ego will triple your range with a fully charged board. The 7.5 AH ego has allowed me to travel 22 miles on a fully charge One wheel plus.
On a group ride I had more range then any of the XRs we rode with.

Even the XRs has adaptors for extended range. The Onewheel community has a lot of smart people. Their always thinking of clever new ways to make riding more enjoyable. I promise you will love it when you get one.

Great video! I rock a 7.5Ah but recently also picked up a 2.5Ah for shorter rides, for less weight on the OneWheel, and potentially for taking with me on a flight. On long distance rides, I’m looking forward to swapping between the two. Subscribed! Keep the videos coming!

I love it. I travel with a 2.5ah often. The 2.5 is perfect for travel. Fits under FAA guidelines. Keep your OW together and carry it on. Take the 2.5 out and X-ray it separately and you will be fine. Thanks for your support Sly. Let me know if you have any questions.

I've been putting together a plan for when I do get the opportunity to fly. I think you're the first one I've encountered that successfully flew with a 2.5Ah, so it gives me hope. Having a plus with a 2.5Ah on a trip isn't bad at all! Been putting together a list of airports and airlines combinations that people have been successful (and not successful) flying with their OneWheels. Thanks for the tip!

Great video. Is the split fender able to hold the weight of the 7.5Ah EGO without flexing/breaking?

Yes with out flexing but it's very hard on the screw holes... I ended up stopping them out which was actually better. I went to Lowes and bough machine screws and wing nuts. I flipped the screws upside down through the hole and use the wing nuts as a quick release. $4 conversion. The 7.5 is heavy so my sensor thinks my back foot is alway on which is NBD.

I use the parallel but Cnr looks like an easier option.

You forget to mention that this isnt good for the internal battery.

Your right Its not good for the battery but that's the sacrifice We have to take to extend the range on a plus.🤷‍♂️ When your OW battery completely dies your able to power the board from the Ego battery alone. Thanks for watching. I wish you well.
