This young man without a shirt texted Mr. Coach Mercedes In the white the day before asking to come and spar. He had told me he was a MMA fighter, along with a boxer for years and could kick any boxers ass in the gym. So Mr. Coach Mercedes invited him to the gym for a workout, he then warmed up and began challenging the young amateur boxers while hitting the heavy bag. Mr. Coach Mercedes was in the ring and overheard the challenges and bullying comments. Mr. Coach Mercedes asked him if he wanted to spar, so he said, “Of course coach, I’d love to spar with you.” Coach used 20oz gloves on purpose to not hurt this young man. The intention was never to hurt him but to teach a lesson because we all knew what was going to happen. You can see what happened for yourself. He got very humbled at the end. This is what happens when a bully come to AMC boxing gym and start beefing with Mr. coach mercedes boxers.

I have seen several videos, and the people talk about how respectful the challenger might or not be. I agree with what you say, but it amazes me that you do this in a gym in Europe, and the police is called on you, 100% of the time, l and yet, this seems normal. I initially thought the comments were going to talk about how insane the challenger has to be, but it seems the conversation orbit around manners. I cannot conceive a person that is not crazy that tries something like that, but this guy seems to be even cool at a certain extent. I think this is the first thing of American culture that is completely incomprehensible to me

@Everythingisweevil Jesus, good text comprehension pal. You are in your gym teaching classes, a random dude gets in with an attitude, and he "challenges you to spar" to test you. Like you have nothing to do except help him calibrate his self esteem, and you are totally sure he is mentally stable. Is that what is going on here, or they are just "sparring"?

@Everythingisweevil My point is that those are not challengers, those are people that are not well in the head. The closest thing I have seen, which is what would be more common in Europe, is those same guys enrolling in classes and then trying to spar as if it was a fight. But those crazies are easily dealt with within the gym by the very students, the instructor barely gets involved, except for throwing that guy out. But they wouldn't fight the guy. At the same time there are always several instructors present in most of those business, so they have it hard to get out intact. The point is that how they are not seen as just crazy?. And regarding Europe. Where have you seen that?. I never heard of any country in which people do that, because it is seen as beneath the coaches to deal with them. I think it has to do with the fact that we do not have laws that are so stringent, because the violence levels are low. So, an instructor can beat the guy up and there wouldn't be such a big deal excepts some heavy fines (if the guy ever present charges), and having a record does not stop people from having a job, because nobody even ask for it. What countries in Europe you said have you seen it?

He didnt seem to be mentally unstable he completely acknowledged the reality that he just lost that fight and that the coach had good hands.

My first coach was a highly ranked amateur heavyweight and he jabbed me up the first time I walked in. Completely agree. People don't realize that most people that walk into boxing gyms start up being full of themselves, but often end up being successful prize fighters. This guy seems like the typical kid that walks into a boxing gym having had an idea of boxing, but that never had really sparred or tested his stamina, resolve, etc. Probably watches a lot of fights on TV and to his credit, can remarkably "ape" what he sees. He was brave (or delusional) enough to step into the ring and did not quit with the first punch (I've seen that happen, too) - that is important. If I was a coach I'd encourage him to join my gym because he seems to present enough attributes to work with. The fact that he knew when he was put in his place - and seemed to accept it well - shows you that he's not so stupid that he will not listen to instructions/advice when coached. In time, he may get his head together.

JESUS is neither a god nor a son of God, = > JESUS WAS A MESSENGER OF ALLAH before jesus birth , people follow whom , before prophet jesus people follow prophet of that time like Adam , Moses , Noah , Abraham etc . This young man got humble after he got whooped by me and then he challenge my 16 year old boxer, that had just finished a 3 hr workout and my 16 year old boxer made him quit in the 1st round. He got humble at the end. This young man without a shirt texted Mr. Coach Mercedes In the white the day before asking to come and spar. He had told me he was a MMA fighter, along with a boxer for years and could kick any boxers ass in the gym. So Mr. Coach Mercedes invited him to the gym for a workout, he then warmed up and began challenging the young amateur boxers while hitting the heavy bag. Mr. Coach Mercedes was in the ring and overheard the challenges and bullying comments. Mr. Coach Mercedes asked him if he wanted to spar, so he said, “Of course coach, I’d love to spar with you.” Coach used 20oz gloves on purpose to not hurt this young man. The intention was never to hurt him but to teach a lesson because we all knew what was going to happen. You can see what happened for yourself. He got very humbled at the end. This is what happens when a bully come to AMC boxing gym and start beefing with Mr. coach mercedes boxers.
