Both of those were children that did experience love of a parent, not infants taken from their parents. Its partially due to anakin's attachment to his mom that he began to turn to the dark side. Needless to say, it didn't work. And not just because the Sith ordered Kim's assassination in a public place.

What often seems to be looked over in the whole "taking children away" dilemma is very clear with Grogu's story. The option of them living a normal life doesn't really exist. Jedi aren't perfect, but they try to give the children the ability to assure their own security. Think about Darth Maul's first kill who was a padawan who got kidnapped because she was force sensitive. Obviously being a padawan wasn't enough to save her, but she was learning to defend herself and got captured too soon. The way I see it, there basically are four options for force sensitive beings. 1) The Jedi temple (likely scenario, sad but safer than other scenarios), 2) The Dark Side (wether it's The Sith or other factions...not as likely a scenario as the Jedi Temple, but a far more dangerous and horrible possibility), 3) Being kidnapped or enslaved because of their impressing but yet undeveloped abilities (Unless they are protected, it'll happen and could end up by staying in that situation, or leading to scenario 1, 2, and 4), 4) Being lucky enough to be part of a society that has its own appreciation for force sensitive being, while being far away and discreet enough to avoid being noticed by everyone mentioned earlier and becoming strong enough with the force to remain safe by refusing to engage in conflicts (Impossible to know how common it is since they wouldn't be doing such a good job if we knew about it......That being said, we do see characters like that in some comics.) My point is, being safe and leading a normal life doesn't really appear to be an option in the galaxy far far away. That being said, in Star Wars as in real life, the absence of a better option at a specific time doesn't mean that we should accept status quo instead of looking for new and improved ways of helping people.
@Renkencen3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, they should of kept this canon! Well ok I guess it could of been somewhat ooc from the Order cos I thought they spoke with the parent first before they gave their force sensitive child to them? It was nice seeing a more human size to Windu or did they want to keep him 100% emotionless and cold all the time like his reaction to Anakin Droid in the Clow War show?

From what I can understand, JJ Abrams is actually a fan of Star Wars and has at least grown up with the main movies. When Disney contacted him to make a new movie, he was ecstatic. Between the two, Disney wanted a safe movie that could draw in as much of an audience as possible, and Abrams wanted to recapture the magic of the original movies. Between the two, the happiest medium was basically recreating _A New Hope_ with a new cast of characters.

After this video I have lot of respect for Mace Windu 💜 And, regarding the Jedis, their old dogmatic ways ironically lead them to their fall. Anakin’s fall to the dark side was in part a consequence of how the Jedi order dismissed his feelings and attachements to his mother first and then to Padme. Luke’s reform of the Jedi teachings is great. He embraces feelings, connections, love and friendship as a natural part of life, of every sentient being in the Universe, part of the Force. And that my friends is also a way to finding balance in the Force.
