To anyone who doesn't know : the DIRECT translation of " Il a trois ans " ( the way of saying ' he's 3 years old' ) is " He has 3 years " .

We 'escape' from places where we can be locked in or have the sense of being locked in or confined: escape from jail, escape from a trap, escape from a locked building or car; escape from a stalled lift (elevator); escape from a burning building; escape from a bad marriage. Since the women were in a park, which is not a closed or confined or locked place, we would say, 'run away'. 'Running away' simply means 'moving away from this position at speed.' So one could 'run away' from a jail - if one was standing outside the jail, for example, on the pavement. One could run away from a terrifyingly blue child. One can 'run away from home' because one doesn't like the situation there. But if one 'esecaped from home' one would have been locked in or chained up or forcibly detained in one's home. One could 'run away' from a bad marriage, but it would not have the same sense as making a permanent, formal break (divorce - escape a bad marriage and get away forever, completely; run away from a bad marriage - leave where your spouse is, but not necessarily by a divorce or permanent, formal separation; rather by - for example - just leaving the country and not saying where you are). Maybe they need to do a video on the use of 'escape.' My Polish students always got that wrong, too.

Chinese would say “he three years (old) already” without the verb 他三岁了。Chinese characters may be difficult to write, but Chinese grammar is one of the easiest to master. No inflections or verb tense change. No adjective gender and number agreements with nouns. I would like to see more acting by Monsieur Antoine Thery and Monsieur Yohan Lévy. Love their actings 🥰

Quelqu'un de français qui complexerait sérieusement sur son accent pourrait être offensé mais de façon générale je ne vois pas pourquoi quelqu'un irait prendre ça si froidement.
@GuilhemBARRIERE3 жыл бұрын
@sisterstonerock3 жыл бұрын
@@GuilhemBARRIERE thanks! quite true. My culture is the same... we have super strong accents, and have been lauded as one of the 'sexiest' Asian accents. We also aren't onion-skinned and know how to laugh at ourselves.

3 'ears.
@Hoo888462 жыл бұрын
Age is presented in French with the verb avoir, to have. So “he is three years old” becomes literally “he has three years” Il a trois ans. 🤣🤣. Wrong grammar and wrong pronunciations and he ends up having three ears 🤣🤣🤣 with all the H gone, and the Y also gone “‘e ‘as three ‘ears”
@Edochan3 жыл бұрын
Well, even if he had that lady sucks
@stephan69983 жыл бұрын
But why is the French mother supposed to say 'ears' instead of 'years'? The y-sound should not be that much of a problem for her, at least it should not be missing !?
