Parents, please be aware of who your children's friends are (even more so if your child is developmentally challenged). Learn who they are, get to know them a bit, ask your children about their friends. Even if your child is a young adult, be aware of those around them. My parents forbade me from hanging out with certain people in my late teens, because they did not like those friends, they did not like the types of activities they were involved in, the type of household they came from, and did not trust them. And I truly believe that kept me safe growing up, even if I was upset with my parents back then, because when I look back at some of my friends (and who they are now), I understand why I wasn't allowed to hang out with them. Also wtf is this "law" that you cannot report someone missing for less than 24 hrs?!?!? It's complete BS! Some people know their relatives' routine and know when something isn't right. BEWARE: There is no law that says police have to wait 24hrs before looking for a missing person. NO LAW! If you are ever in this type of a situation, which I hope never happens, you tell the police you want to speak with the head of missing persons and point out that there is no law prohibiting police to wait any amount of time. You fight for your loved one. No matter who you have to fight. The first few hours are crucial. Be an advocate. Please. This pertains to the US.

I always appreciate how you go into depth on these stories. ❤ poor Cynthia 😢 I feel so bad for her family. Dynali was supposed to be her best friend the trust Cynthia put into her. Absolutely abhorrent and disgusting

My brother was murdered in Anchorage. We were both born and raised there. I left immediately following the birth of my daughter to get her the hell of there and never looked back. On a lighter note, moose are not just on the outskirts of the city, they’re everywhere. That’s one of the only things that I miss. Thanks for giving a voice to the victims and being respectful of them.

Adrian, I have always been a true crime enthusiast but it is so refreshing to be able to hear about cases that I do not know about already and/or are from all corners of the globe. Keep up the amazing work, my man!

I just watched a similar story on Disturbian, set in London. A mentally challenged mom of two was tortured to death by “friends”. I want to ask how can people be so stupid…but they are. Most murders are senseless but to be killed by friends for the hell of it.. Ret in the arms of Jesus sweet girl.

My friend was murdered in a puppet master type situation. I will never understand it.

Even if you are a millionaire I doubt you can just blow 9 million. I just can’t get over the stupidity involved in this.

I like the way this girls mother takes no responsibility for her daughters actions. Maybe, if she was a better mother her daughter would not be where she is. Time to take a long hard look in the mirror, mummy dear.

I simply love the destination intros in each video. Great landscape views with good commentary. You easily showcase each destination and any tourism board would be highly impressed. Great work! 👍

Cynthia may have had developmental challenges but Denali was emotional challenged. She ‘fell in love’ with someone she never met, and was willing to commit crimes for him. She ‘convinced’ her friends to go along with her for some strange reason. But none of that is an excuse for brutally murdering her best friend. Disgusting

I am addicted to your channel. I really enjoy the way you give the victims their time, something a lot of crime podcasts fail to do. They focus everything on the killer, and the victims get forgotten

One of the many things that has always kept me coming back for every single episode of CC is Adrian’s sensitively measured approach to each story. He is always so thoughtful toward the victims, never sensationalizes the crime, and never utilizes inflammatory descriptions of the perpetrators. His approach is always a mix of empathy and zen. So, when he calls someone a “scumbag”…you know that person truly deserves that moniker. - Thank you Adrian for your consistently top-quality work. 🌸

I think that so many young people today lack the emotional and moral framework to deal with these sociopaths that prey upon them.

Please cover the Brian Smith case here in Alaska. He moved from South Africa and became a citizen here, then cheated on his wife with two homeless Alaskan native women and killed them.

Its always heartbreaking how parents of murderers have to let their children into jail for life even though they still love them. It must be an excruciating pain.

Seriously the fact that there were so many hands involved in this little girl's death baffles me the reason why not one person questioned anything about this mysterious 9 million dollar doner or how even the fact that they were about to murder somebody
