Black flag is so frought with loss its so sad and it adds to knowing Jackdaw sinks and Edward gets killed and his own son brainwashed into being a templar and later their grandmaster...damn

Brainwashed, or gained clarity?

He was far too young and impressionable to gain clarity on his own imo.

@@shady1306 - 10 years is young, granted. But I believe he was aware, as he was being mentored by Birch, of what he was getting into. He didn't go back to the Assassin Order after he found out Birch had murdered his family and taken Jenny. To me, that would mean that he believed more in the Templars than Assassin's. That being said, I don't think he was aware of the Assassin's until he started training with Birch.

@@ras2239 Nor would he anyway, just like religion doctrine is given youre not born into it. There is a country next to mine whos ancestors were converted to islam they were our people, do you think for an instant that any of them returned to christianity when the truth was presented to them? No, they hate us mostly for it. That same analogy works here, he was just a child he didn't know any different.

@@shady1306 That is fair. I was reading more lore and it stated that he didn't even know anything about the Assassin's as Edward did not indoctrinate him. I don't necessarily agree with the religious statement. Being raised in Canada, I had the option of religion but, yes, it was given and not forced. But other countries, such as your neighbours, could be an Islamic country where religion doctrine is forced. I could be wrong, it's just the way I see it.
