@@elijahoneill5228no bro it is virtually impossible to do akuma's raging demon without activating a button beforehand. If you do his raging demon at the fastest possible it is a 4 frame startup, which means in sf6 your jab will come out and put your enemy in blockstun which inevitably makes akuma wiff the super, but also nobody that is a human can do that super under 6 frames consistently. The 720 tho is possible after drive rush, which wouldnt be an option for akuma, normal dash, which is also an option for akuma and it is also possible to do it standing consistently if you are on hitbox, akuma's raging demon remains to be seen but i highly doubt you will be able to do it without giving any cews except in modern obv

@@ΚρανίΩ actualyy u could buffer demon from rush and the fastes anything can come from that is 11 frames not counting grabs wich cancel drive rush. I am triiple master ranks so trust me I know my LAB FRAME DATA. Also you could also just buffer it from a jump or a overhead. THE famous kara demon. but peopl forget about modern command grab is it has nerfed Damage. so akums whatever percent aint gona look as damging. Especialy if you a do it from a perfect parry. It will look sick tho.

Yup, that's the intention :) Akuma in the cartoon was voiced by David Kaye, who was Megatron in Beast Wars and kinda explains the accent I was going for. In fact, the whole cartoon itself is filled with Ocean Dub Alumni (Scott McNeil is Ken and Blanka in this show Brian Drummond is almost EVERYWHERE)

I remember back in the day, this was my main exposure to Akuma and I thought he was the coolest thing ever and forced Guile and M.Bison to team up. The newest version of SF2 was on another console that most people didn't have and I didn't play the Alpha games till years later. Plus the net wasn't widely used and it was the dial-up era, meaning it was use sparely. Now looking back after so many years of being exposed to canon version, I can see the animation not looking well and how I remember this version may not measure up.

The way they animated Ken's Tatsumaki Senpukyaku led me down a rabbit hole. Hitting with the inside of the foot and then continuing to spin in that direction looks stupid so I went and examined how the games animate it. Every single game I looked at has the outside of the foot hitting in every variation of the move(like EX, Air Tatsu, and Supers) *EXCEPT* Street Fighter 1 which hits with the inside of the foot. The only other deviation is in the beginning of Ken's Shinpu Jinraikyaku where his three beginning spins hit more with the top of the foot where the toes begin before transitioning into the rising Tatsu. What was more confusing was that the direction that they spin changes across some games. These are from the character being on Player 1 side. The (what I believe is) standard that was set in SF2 by Ryu is right foot spinning clockwise but some games like SF3, SF4, and SF5 as well as a handful of spinoffs have the left foot spinning counterclockwise. The right foot clockwise returned in SF6. However, Ken's Shinpu Jinraikyaku has some weirdness to itself. When a version of Ryu uses it in some of the crossover games and even some versions of Ken himself uses it, he will do roughly three counterclockwise spins that kick with the top of his right foot, then transition into the rising Tatsu but be spinning right foot clockwise because it reuses that version of Tatsu. It looks fine in motion but slowed down it makes no sense. Funnily enough, when Ken got Shinpu Jinraikyaku in SF6 he actually does the three counterclockwise top of foot kicks and transitions into a left foot counterclockwise rising Tatsu which is interesting because SF6 uses right foot clockwise Tatsu. You can really tell with this that much care was taken by the mocap team and Capcom to keep it faithful. I'm sorry you've read this but I had to share.

The reason that clockwise returned I believe is because the devs have said their favourite version of SF is SF2. What I wonder what they’ll do is whether they give Akuma a counterclockwise tatsu for SF6, because in SFV Ryu and Ken had counterclockwise Tatsu and Akuma basically has an evil version of Tatsu, the Tatsumaki Zankukyaku, so he got a clockwise tatsu that span oppositely to them. I wonder if they’ll do the same in SF6 but just the reversed situation now.

Not hard to imagine. Akuma is a little faster, hits a little harder, has unfair tricks, and has less HP for it. Who cares how good Akuma is when he takes effectively 30% extra damage? Akuma should be the high risk, high reward character. Which means in the hands of a mid tier player, Akuma is bad. And between top tier players? Having a huge weakness tends to make you low tier.
