@leahandphillipАй бұрын
Totally! It’s seriously a lazy question. If they cared, they might as what you did today, or “how has it been with (fill in the blank with something specific).”
@TTFerdinandАй бұрын
"I'm fine" would be the easiest answer to get them off your back, but trying to be an honest person I usually go with the other option: the truth. That prompts the follow-up question:"What's wrong?", to which I usually answer:"If you're really interested, you'll have to call in sick at work, it's gonna take a while." The result is the same, telling the truth takes just five seconds more, but with the possible benefit of not hearing "How are you?" from the same person ever again. 😉
@jaspermooren588319 күн бұрын
I just give a genuinely honest answer. Either you actually get a good conversation, or it is over very quickly. Win win in my book. However I do live in the Netherlands, and we are quite famous for being increadibly straight forward, so that helps I guess.

It's not introvert but it's social anxiety. Introvert is just the person who doesn't feel the desire to talk to anyone but to just do his/her thing. Althought it can be combined. I am introvert with social anxiety, I kinda feel stressed around people but also as a music producer I do not care much because I would prefer staying in home studio and doing music.
@theultimatewarlord6942016 күн бұрын
Good thing I am diagnosed an extroverted-introvert. I am in all sense an introvert, but an introvert who can and doesn't hesitate to socialise. I just don't initiate small talk or a conversation with anyone that I don't know (or even know because, like-wise of an introvert, I have no idea what to talk about), and I never walk up to a stranger. I just wait for them to approach me and begin talking, and then I begin socialising with them. But then the chat doesn't last for long because I have nothing more to say. To summarise, I only speak to people when it's necessary to, or to familiar people when I just feel like it, otherwise I just won't even try to at all

Ok, introverts are not hermits. Introverts do enjoy being social with other people and going out. The difference is that we mentally recharge in solitude, whereas extroverts mentally recharge by being with other people. Anyone who never wants to leave the house or be social is not an introvert, they are possibly depressed, or suffer from some other mental illness, and should seek help. There is a difference.
@leahandphillipАй бұрын
Is that true?! 😳
@OutdoorsWithChadАй бұрын
@leahandphillip Clinically speaking yes. It gets confused a lot because many people with social anxiety or mild depression may identify as just introverted, which they may also be, but the anti-social tendencies are not due to the introversion, but due to the other mental health issues they may have in addition to the personality trait. Again, if you or someone else is avoiding social gatherings entirely, you should get to the root of why, rather than just write it off as being introverted. We all need socialization and real, in-person community to stay healthy and well-adjusted. I am 100% an introvert -- but I love social gatherings, just in limited doses because I refresh myself in solitude.
@MinotyrАй бұрын

Introversion does not equate to being antisocial, it means when you are social as introvert versus an extrovert, you just get drained quicker. While overall, an extrovert gets energised by being around people, and an introvert doesn’t, this doesn't mean that extroverts never require alone time to recharge, and an introvert never requires socialisation to recharge. Socialisation and solitude are fundamentally human needs, people just fall on different ends of the spectrum of how much of each they require to function optimally. That’s all.
