Exactly! I used to sell safety equipment and the shit I'd hear about these companies and how so many of them wanted their employees to not follow safety protocol or how the companies didn't want to shell out money for safety equipment the employees needed for the job was almost sickening how many times I'd hear that from the employees. If a company ever told me to do something unsafe or do something without the proper PPE, I'd tell them go to fk themselves and immediately call OSHA and file a complaint! OSHA don't play around when it comes to that and I believe you could get some kind of monetary compensation for a complaint that can be proven. But yeah I'd never do a job unsafely or without the proper PPE, I've seen too many pictures and videos of how and when things go wrong because of the negligence! BE SAFE OUT THERE PEOPLE! YOUR LIFE IS WORTH MORE THAN ANY JOB! also don't forget a company CANNOT retaliate if you make a safety concern complaint against your company and you can even do it "anonymously" meaning the company won't ever hear who made the complaint but OSHA will document your name so you can be compensated for a valid complaint but the company won't know who made the complaint so don't ever be afraid to speak up when it comes to preserving your life!!! ✌️

@@mattb6646 For a big grinder like that, the agitator inside the hopper is probably what killed her. Rather than being fed through the actual grinding mechanism, the agitator will grab you first and wrap you around it, much like a lathe accident though at a much lower speed. If you fell into a large enough grinder, you'd probably even have a chance of surviving for as long as you could hug the agitator tightly, similar to how you'd crawl along a rope from below. If the hopper was loaded fully, though, you might drown under the meat, and if the agitator started wrapping part of you or your clothing around it, you'd end up back in the lathe-death scenario. @@vanillafire2652 you can still report someone missing even if an hour has passed by if you really think the person is missing and cops will conduct a search. the only reason of the unwritten rule of waiting 48 hours is because police departments dont want to waste time and resources on someone who isnt really missing

Thank liberals and their policies. I don’t pretend to have the perfect solution.. obviously our old legal system wasn’t working.. but neither is going in the opposite direction/extreme of just going super soft on criminals. Not all criminals are dumb and they know they can take advantage of how things are set up right now.. at least if they’re minorities. But giving them slaps on the wrist and sending them on their way to victimize more people is obviously not the answer either. Every liberal DA and judge that’s been lenient in the last few years.. the last decade or two honestly.. have a lot of blood on their hands. But, they don’t care because it’s not their blood.

I work at an aluminum extrusion plant. The largest in north America. There is a million ways to get hurt. But they put safety guards up for a reason. This is why locking and tagging out equipment is worth doing properly. I would never step foot near the presses or any moving peices of equipment without the electrical and hydraulic power cut off and all proper precautions were taken. I've only been there a month and even I know the dangers. I've seen a few guys hurt already and daily they show us near misses with equipment failures caught on security footage from prior shift. This gives us insensitive to do proper inspection of equipment because some guys are lazy and dont do shit. Then when something fails and a 800 pound piece of solid aluminum falls free from a set of tongs attached to a hoist to ground while being moved. Only 6 inches from operators foot because hes walking to close by and not aware of danger... but 12 hour shifts will make people prone to mistakes sometimes

There should be a safety shut off. It's shocking to me that things like this can happen, and I would hope that we try harder to reduce risks, increase safety features. I definitely don't like to hear of people getting killed, but I'm a thousand times worse if they suffer something so great. I know they try to add safety features, warning signs, but as we still losing people, it's obviously not enough. I guess it's impossible to save every person as accidents happen. All carved into the solid granite side (clandestinely) of a Mountain. One that would make Fort Knox look like a boy scout's tent! All hard wired with C6 plastic in a collapsible sequence from the entrance to the shelter. ( broken arrow, and don't worry the contingency is two exit tunnels, in case one compromised, both of which must be excavated to the tune of 6 feet to the surface to exit. Hidden completely, eh?) Prepped for the Zombie Apocalypse! And the Shelter itself? Boobie trapped so well that a Vietnamese Veteran who was a Viet Cong would get a stuffy!, I mean wired so tough that the Elites of our Armed Forces would compliment and admire. The reason? I would have to spend the rest of my life in there, made of gold yes, but a cage nonetheless. If I am caged like an animal at least I would want to give incentive to not rattle it. After all isn't that the only reason to accept the offer of the million dollar home? Seeking peace and solitude? Feel free all to give your respected opinion.

I can't understand why a few hundred dollars is worth someone's life as well as spending the rest of your pathetic life in prison!

By who ? That makes no sense. That’s like saying it’s been theorized that conscience is responsible for all thoughts which is essentially formed by thoughts which simply isn’t true. Why make up weird stuff like this 😅

Whenever I see people working near machines and the footage is low-ish quality, I get instantly terrified and my heart starts beating rapidly and my hands start shaking. Either nothing happens or someone dies.

Omg. . The meat grinder one is horrible . People . The safety protocols are there for a reason . They may seem silly or overbearing but every warning label has a story , just think about that . But the metal guys , jumping up and down inside the container ………. I just feel like all common sense was lost at that point

I make beef sticks so i dump 3300 pounds of meat into a course grinder which tgen gets mixed and seasoned and ground out through a fine grinder. Somtimes i get that call of the void intrusive thought of "what if i reached in?" Then I usually take a couple steps back.
