I had the same problem with the Skyline frames. I sent them in 4 times for adjustments but DFV could never calibrate them perfectly. You may need to switch to a frame that doesn't flex as much. Start a Google drive account with your friends so that you can split up the workload in answering objectives. This will save you a ton of time D1 and D2 years. Most instructors pull their exam questions directly from the objectives.

Hey Dakota, just a quick tip for taking impressions. For maxillary, always press the back first then gently bring the pressure toward the front. Do the opposite for the mandibular arch. First, place the impression in the front, and gently apply pressure moving toward the back :)

am also in first year dental school in Egypt and got to say the difference in technology is huge here you are learning how to get teeth impressions and am still studying physics and basic science the only subject related to dentistry we take is dentition all of the rest are basic science .... man i hate my life

In the U.S people typical have a number of years of college before Dental school, is that how it is in Egypt ?

JJFit89 no they are all multiple choice, and for the most part you can narrow down the right answer to 2 choices almost all the time as long as you study the material well.

believe it or not, I was actually a dental assistant while going through my undergrad lol! that's why these impressions were so gosh darn frustrating for me because I liked to think that I was pretty good at them before dental school. :) it turns out that they can be a pain in the butt when working on typodonts and not actual tissue.
