and no where to hide. I assume these guys are human. I would be and was ashamed , my pride hurt, I guess that is part of being a fighter and maybe that is what keeps them coming back to the ring. To live those days after a win. and suffer those days after a loss. Sorry to say , i was a sloppy boxer. Glad i left the sport and let better boxers take the matt. if you want to know how it feels.. Your head expands to like the size of the arena., all the voices from the audience seem so far away but you tell yourself they are looking at me. Your naked. You tell yourself, your spirit to get you up, don't give up. this time will pass. I feel so bad for the show offs. I know when they are alone they kick themselves. I once did foot work like Ali and did that circular wide punch to the air. I still cringe. Even though at the time it was totally to honor Ali. I had not , done enough to be allowed to honor Ali. It is like a martial artist wearing a yellow body suit. I salute any boxer ( fighter ) and pray for their health. Oh and it is true in in the cartoons. You hear that bell , you still want to get up and start to fathom box. I would hear that bell years afterwards while I drove my car. And NO WAY would i tell anybody in my circles , I boxed and have them look me up on youtube .. lol lol I had 7 fights and won them all, only because i was scared to look friends in the eye. Had I won two more fights , I would be dead. Naked truths.. I once touched gloves with referee cause i thought he was other boxer when i came out. I quickly told him, it was respect.. He let me slide. He knew. Boxing made me calm in times of stress. I lived 50 years in two years as a boxer. Believe me , there are no losers in the ring. Outside , now that is a whole new kettle of fish. My wife never once congratulated me after a win. And she nursed me for a longer period of time, than I was in the ring. I had to make pretend nothing hurt , so i would not get knocked out with an " I told you so ". lol us men know , it does not have to be said... we see it. Thank you all for letting me purge.

Glad Emanuel Augustus was on here. One of my favorite fighters. His fight with micky ward was epic. He was admittedly Mayweathers toughest opponent. Dude was a master of his craft and walked around ready to fight. Deserved more credit than he got. Definitely was never paid what he was worth

love reading these comments about him lol he was such a (master) he had 38W and 34L dont give me the bs about him losing decisions he should of won either because even if you give him all 14 of the close decisions as wins instead of loses he would still have 20 loses! @@2stroketyson79 so your telling me a 52 to 20 record is bad🤦🏻. I’m not saying that’s the best record it to call that bad is absolutely ridiculous, not to mention it means that he would have beaten a good bit more world class fighters. @@2stroketyson79 , Augustus wasn't a bum. He just didn't really care about a win / loss record , he'd take a fight on a days notice , he smoked weed , drank , and had a good time. Despite all of that , on any given night he could beat anybody. He was a good guy and it's really sad what happened to him. Shot for no reason while walking down the street. He was a master of his craft. If he had taken his career seriously he could have had a very different record , he had fun though and so did the fans watching him.

He wasn't good technically and could afford to make mistakes against lesser or slower fighters because his fast reflexes would get him out of trouble. When he fought Barrera, those mistakes were exposed, such as throwing a punch and leaving his chin in the air, wrong footed and off balanced. However, he does deserve his place in this video. I must admit, I was pleased when he lost. I've never liked arrogant big mouths.

He defeated 7 world champions, not compete at the highest level? I would argue Naseem look way smaller compared to the juiced mexican, the Naseem was fatter while the mexican was shredded to the gills, and even then Naseem still boxed him for an hour and didn't get KO'd. Everytime it looked like Naseem was getting hit by big shots to the head Naseem was negating most of the energy by following backwards with his punch, Naseem is on another level, and they both said they faced the strongest fighter they've fought.

Man Prince Naseem is easily the most entertaining fighter of all time.. there was truly no one like him.. I wish he was competing at this time because with social media he’d be one of the biggest fighters on the planet.. a man that was before his time.. what a legend!

The question of whose defense was better in that one sequence comparing Ali To Fury is an absurd one. Without taking anything away from Fury anyone viewing Ali's performance can clearly see that Ali avoided an entire and prolonged flurry of powerful blows while Fury avoided a few desperate swings. Without being able to prove it I have no doubt, personally, that if the two fighters had ever met in the ring Tyson Fury would have ended-up on his ass as early as the third round, maybe sooner.

Ali was also avoiding punches that were being thrown from different angles at a decent speed, whereas the rather slow punches fury faced were obviously easier to see
